I am certain it won't be like Obama's "Shovel Ready Jobs" which when asked he laughed saying maybe they weren't so shovel ready after all. What happened to that Trillion dollars? Oh yeah, it went to unions, and other cronies for political payback. Trump is a builder. If anything this will actually get to the infrastructure, if Congress passes the bill.
Transport including airports, ports, road and bridges and even improving some rail connections always helps improve a nations economy, whilst better broadband and telecommunications and other infrastructure are also good for business and the economy.
They would be some of the areas I would prioritise.
The article indicates $200B in government funding, where do they raise the remainder of $1.5T.
We need this but the deficit is getting way out of hand.
What if tax cuts for re-patrioted money (i.e. the money 'vacationing' in off shore shelters) were used for patriotic causes? Like infrastructure projects for US?
The Brooklyn Bridge ~ new & improved by ... [your name here] ... & so on.

$200 billion added to the federal debt and the rest coming from muni bonds as few states have the cash to pay for any of this after years of Republican tax cutting and Democrat largess. Honestly, do we pay for anything government in this country anymore? If we need to fix our infrastructure and we do, then raise revenues/taxes sufficient to pay for it!
With respect to muni's, the Trump tax bill did a number on their desirability to investors making the proposition of using this funding mechanism more problematic for states as well.
Well, we do need a serious infrastructure upgrade. I wish they had cut some costs including military but well, we still need the infrastructure upgrades.
We heard many, many times about the wonderful ACA replacement he'd put in place immediately upon taking office and we all know where that went.
'Scheme' sounds like an apt description of Trump's grandiose plans with no substance, abouttime he learns saying so doesn't make it so..
It wouldn't have mattered what Trump had in mind for ACA replacement, because once he became President he was faced with the challenge of uniting Republicans that had 2 or 3 completely different healthcare plans in mind.
I'm sure Trump intended to deliver a great healthcare bill, but that was during the general election when he was still being treated like an outsider by his own party (and by Paul Ryan), so he would not have been informed of what was going on with healthcare.

Under my plan, all Americans will be covered.....signed Obama....what happened?
