How could this forum be exempt? Therefore, people should consider much when reading all the denial of facts that is often pushed and saturated within some threads.
Some are deleted that seeks to get at the truth, and some are buried that discuss historical facts. Some sum up to be nothing but people who get bored and want to come and play pun and fun to get a contentious drama fix. ... We certainly can't blindly assume exemption was granted to any social media forum.

We can ask many questions, from the utter silence by the Evangelicals, on all the moral issues that are often glossed over when it comes to this administration. All the people in this administration who have been removed and the reasoning behind their removal, all the way up to the National Security Advisor, and recently the removal of Porter, who had hands on every kind of Top Secret Info, as it is claimed he was the one who filtered what moved past him.
I meet many people in general society who are Republican, who do not support this craziness, and many of moral people who are disgusted with the long string of elements and situations surrounding Trump and his administration. I also acknowledge that in general social situations and discussions, there are many republican who don't agree with many things that has been done, including the continual denials about the Russian involvement, by Trump, the failure to act on the sanctions. and some were very much not in support when the President said after one meeting with Putin, that he 'Believed Putin", when all our intelligence agencies have information that he was involved and backed it, and Russian did collude.
Back during the campaign, members of this very forum made not of Russian Troll Farms, whose jobs was to infiltrate social forums and push discord, attack Hillary and promote Trump. They were tasked with creating and promoting confusing and leading the confused.
Most people who follow politics and affairs.. Know that by the initiation of the 2nd term of Obama, All of American knew Hillary would run for Presidential election, They knew it after she lost the first time to Obama.
Then the Right Wing, set up and spun the Benghazi mess for nearly two yrs or so, with direct aim to tarnish Hillary, and they only shut up, when facts came to the table, to disclose it was Republican Responsibility to have provided the Funding for increased security. They did not care about that fact, until they could not escape its truth. Their objective was early staging attacks upon and against Hillary and Democrats. But truth is.. and Truth came to expose Republican Responsibility... and the public became silent when it was exposed as to the 10's of millions wasted by Republican on the pre-staged smear camping.
Then came some as silly as Email, even after Generals had stated, when Secretary Clinton was in the field, she used, "Secure Systems", That were set up in secure facilities for security communications.
Yet, Republican sit silent while Flynn played double agent, and Manifort was heading the Trump campaign, as a man, who had a history of helping Russian Campaigns. Now we find the truth that many members of Trumps circle has no validated security clearances, and were handing Top Security material. Yet, no Republican's are saying "lock them up". Mainly because they don't have the Russian Troll Farms pushing mass commentary in social media forums to tell them to do so.
The Russian Gaming never backed up, they are still pushing commentary, and using the methods of our loosely controlled forum in social media system to continue to do so. Because the programming of social media, like Facebook, Twitter and Others were concerned about "Revenue" and gathering data on people to sell to Advertisers.
I've written much on here, and I consistently talk about how to make better society, I discuss matters from slavery to now, about the social divisiveness of racist ignorance, bigotry, bias, greed, deception, manipulations and many such things. Often such things come under attack, when they are backed up by links to historical data. There are forces that choose to fight to keep people from learning, to keep people in the spin of denials, and to promote confabulations about the past, in order to keep the spirit of racism, bigotry and bias as an ongoing madness.
Even when it comes to our own internal affairs of public services and assistance, when facts are disclosed that the bulk users are not minorities, nor is it even possible for minorities to use more benefits than white society. Hard numbers stand in support of that fact and always has in America.
We have people sitting silent while EVERY INSTITUTION OF OUR GOVERNANCE SYSTEM, ITS ORGANIZATIONS AND DEPARTMENTS have been attacked by this sitting president. Who Attack individual Congressional People, not only of Democrat Status, but of Republican Status. He has attacked individual, and individuals within our hard fought and long investments to build our organizations, he has attacked individual members within these institutions. Yet... NOT ONE TIME, has he said one word of redress at or toward Putin.
Hillary stood on Stage and in Debates and told America, of the Russian Attempts to diminish NATO, and UN and push discord between us and our Allies... and Trump came along and did exactly those things.
Trump the same man who has benefited 100's of Millions of Dollars of personal gain from Russians, in every business that he owns.
People need not be blinded by a mass of false claims about his intent to help Americans, that has never been his strong suit nor agenda, The Republican attacked Health care for over 6yrs, and when they came to power, all they could do was push a "kill a mass of people health care bill"... Then, we see a man with a history of Tax Dodges, Extortion of Tax Concession by cities that could not afford to fight his suits, and people who had not the power to defend themselves, and then American fell for a Tax Game that benefits the wealthy with debt thrown to the children, who's parents benefit pennies for a short term, while Corporations benefits for a lifetime countless $Billions to the Tune of 1.5 Trillion.
It's long past wake up time... its Time American's become educated and aware in every aspect of what Constitutes America and its Future. To do so, people must abandon their "SELECTIVE AMNESIA" and get over being consumed by "Drama Fest" every 3 days of diversionary madness making.
Maybe people will take forums serious enough to deal with truths, historical realities, face the vile of our own past, learn how racial ignorance has damaged this country for 100's of years, and how bias, bigotry and the greed of the wealthy, have played people against each other with racial madness, to keep the wages low, and cities and citizens in despair and spinning in racist bickering, while the wealthy have now gone on to become "($)Billionaires", while the average American drowns in debt and wages so low they can't even maintain the upkeep of their own home, or support the organization in their own communities. To the extent, that our own American Schools are stripped of the Funding Necessary to Meet The Changing Future.
It's time to own up to what it means to have integrity, and how to respect the multicultural make up that has always been the makeup of the citizenry who has came and who continues to come to Build and continue to build America.
The short attention span of and within slap stick, pun and gaming of 140 character silliness only presents the ignorance, that has become to define too much of our society. Promoting discord, with no in-depth dialog ever being engaged.
The likelihood that there are not currently, or at the very least have never been any, bots here is extraordinarily low.
I mean, consider how much low effort **** gets posted? Even if much of that isn't a bot, I see no reason to believe there's absolutely not connection. At best, they're morally indistinguishable as they serve the same function. Certainly, there indirect impact of it all has without question boiled down to this forum.

This forum is not exempt in any way.
But there are forum tools that help a forum's owners identify internet trolls and troll bots. And all internet forums are always free to ban any member they wish to, as any forum is a privately owned business, and is allowed to set its own conditions for membership.
Moderators often have access to these tools. Many forums allow their moderators to use all the tools available to them at their discretion. So, on some forums, a moderator can ban a member.
On other forums, this isn't so. Sometimes only the owners can ban members. But it's all up to the owners either way.
The owners and the mods all spend lots of time on a forum, and they gain lots of troll-spotting experience.
I've been on City-Data for quite a while now, and there have been a couple of times I watched a troll banning happen before my eyes, in real time.
It's their playground, it's their rules, and it's their investment. So they get to ban anyone they want. But for a fact, contention and drama tend to pull eyeballs to a website, and eyeballs make money.
So don't expect contention and drama to ever disappear. They are part of political discourse, and they are a part of keeping an investment profitable. Both are worthy elements in a capitalist democracy.
