For over a hundred years there has been a name given to those who are union hostile. They are called scabs.

Janus is not union hostile, btw.

This is a Freedom of Association issue.

Plantiff should be free not to be extorted by a third party, without affecting interaction with 2nd party, the employer.

My experience is in NJ and I know the different pay scales for union and non-union.

Add in the fact that under current law the union must represent the non-union member and and that is why there has been no change

Once there is legislation saying non-members are not covered or if this decision says it or a union sues to end non-member coverage and then we can see

I agree

No free riders

The union also has freedom of association- no coverage for non-members -right?

No matter how good the product is, many people will opt out of paying dues when they realize that they get the same representation as dues paying members. It would be like if SCOTUS ruled that employers have to offer health insurance to all employees but employees can decide whether or not they want to pay for it
