An Asheville, North Carolina, news outlet published disturbing bodycam footage this week showing a white police officer beating a black resident, prompting public apologies from city officials who are continuing to investigate the incident.
The graphic video shows officers chasing Johnnie Rush, 33, throwing him to the ground, shocking him with a stun gun and beating him as he cries out in pain and shouts for help. Photos that Rush provided to the Asheville Citizen-Times show his bandaged and swollen head and other injuries.
On Thursday, a judge issued a warrant for Hickman's arrest on one count each of assault by strangulation, assault inflicting serious injury and communicating threats.

Officials then went back and reviewed 58 hours of Hickman's body camera footage and found four other instances in which he displayed "discourteous and rude conduct to members of the public," according to the timeline.
And not to worry - the feeling is mutual. Everyone hates you. EVERYONE. I took a poll!

I'm not for arming teachers either, but for other reasons. Getting a badge and a gun just seems to attract bullies and people who have been bullied and want to take it out on others.
BLM and Colin Kaepernick should be encouraging people from the black community to step forward and become police officers to keep the peace in their own neighborhoods... instead of always criticizing white police officers. Police yourselves instead!!!

People who can pass the tests and don't have a criminal record doesn't leave a lot of candidates from the BLM community. Aren't they mostly on parole? I don't think you are eligible to be a cop with a criminal record or a history of drug use.
Just by the language in the video you can see they wanted to F with this guy.
Ok, let's say your a normal human being (though becoming a cop instantly negates that but let's play along here).
You see a guy jaywalking in front of cars as well as cutting through private parking lots at that time of night. Stop him and tell him how it's dangerous and that going through private parking lots may get a concerned citizen to call it in. Or worse, the owner has his property wired and sees it on his feed at home.
Pull out your phone and ask him where he's trying to get to from his job at Cracker Barrel and walk him through the easiest route he can take.
That's the least you can do. Better yet, tell him to hop in the car and you'll drive it for him so he can walk home safely each night after work.
That's being helpful. At the very least ignore him if you don't want to be a decent human being.
But no. Gotta escalate crap and hassle folks.
Sure. Do you know how many of these jaywalkers are out there? And how many of them are doing so many other things..you'd be busy all day doing nothing but showing them how to not be criminals.
That's not the mission of police work. Citizens are expected to know the laws, police are expected to enforce the laws.
BTW where in there is the cop supposed to have this "teachable moment" conversation with all the Tyrones of society if the guy bolts?
