Pretty amusing that the Law enforcement organizations that have always been despised by the Left are now endeared by them It wont last long, as the fickle Left has always been friendly with those who oppose Law Enforcement.

There would be no controversy here if Clapper was in prison where he belongs.

Default BREAKING: James Clapper leaked intel to CNN

It looks like we just got confirmation of what many suspected.

James Comey conforms in his memos that he was told by Clapper to brief Trump on the salacious parts of the dossier (Comey withheld the fact that Hillary paid for the dossier).

The next day someone leaked to CNN that Trump was briefed on the claims within dossier.

This was done in an effort to legitimize the (at the time) vague reports of Russian collusion claims. And the Russian conspircy theory is off and running in the media.

Well here we go, it turns out James Clapper was the one that leaked to CNN.

The whole thing was a setup, just like many have suspected.

Things are really starting to get interesting.

A newly declassified report on Russian interference in the 2016 U.S. elections reveals that former intelligence chief James Clapper lied to Congress about information he shared with CNN on the infamous Steele dossier.

Buried within a newly declassified congressional report on Russian meddling in the 2016 U.S. elections is a shocking revelation: former Director of National Intelligence (DNI) James Clapper not only leaked information about the infamous Steele dossier and high-level government briefings about it to CNN, he also may have lied to Congress about the matter.

In one of the findings within the 253-page report, the House intelligence committee wrote that Clapper leaked details of a dossier briefing given to then-President-elect Donald Trump to CNN’s Jake Tapper, lied to Congress about the leak, and was rewarded with a CNN contract a few months later.

When asked directly whether he had ever discussed the dossier with any journalists, Clapper replied that he had not.

The former DNI later changed his story after he was confronted specifically about his communications with Jake Tapper of CNN
.

“Clapper subsequently acknowledged discussing the ‘dossier with CNN journalist Jake Tapper,’ and admitted that he might have spoken with other journalists about the same topic”.

So do I have this right?

* At the time, Clapper was Director of National Intelligence for President Obama
* He becomes aware of a bogus dossier created by the DNC with the assistance of Steele to create and dispense information during a campaign designed to be damaging to the opposite party?
* WHILE DNI he dispenses this bogus information to a multitude of far-left reporters that are in a position to utilize that information to harm a campaign they oppose?
* While doing so as DNI-he imparts a degree of credibility that said stories coming directly from an opposition campaign would not have?
* And he then lied to congress about doing so?

If true, just how many laws did he break?

Perhaps the bigger question-if he IS charged for his actions, will he reveal if he was directed to do so by his boss (Obama)?

Sounds like pay for play also. I'll leak to CNN and they give me a job. Time to clap the cuffs on Clapper the POS.

LOL you guys are eating the political SPIN coolaide.

"subsequently" means "after the previous occurrence" not "days after in another hearing" LOL

I can guarantee (given how swampy Republicans are) that it all occurred at the same hearing.

You are correct.

It started by Clapper telling Comey in early January 2017 to brief president elect Trump on the peeing Russian prostitutes claims from the dossier. The dossier had not been made public yet.

Comey briefs Trump on the claims, then Clapper leaks to CNN that Trump was brief on compromising information the Russians had on him.

A few days later the dossier was published by Buzzfeed.

Clapper leaked the Trump briefing in an attempt to legitimize the dossier that they knew the media had, and would make public at the right time.

It was all a setup to create the Russian conspircy theory to the media. And the media has been pushing the false narrative ever since.

This is a a massive revelation, as it conforms that the Russian conspircy theory was manufactured media leaks by high ranking Obama administration officials.

I'm glad he was caught, leakers are scum. I wonder if he'll be formally charged with anything.
