Isn't this what they wanted? Protect our kids... right? They just did a whole march for this.
I know... I know... they wanted guns taken away. They didn't ask to go to jail every day. This is a life lesson for them in government control.
The lesson here... even though they made demands to the culture, they don't control how their demands will be implemented.
Here's another lesson... freedom requires responsibility in order to maintain a decent culture. If you want to give responsibility to others to maintain a decent culture, don't get mad when your freedom disappears as well.
Students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School return to class Monday, their first day back since organizing one of the largest youth-led protests in US history.
But these teenagers won't be returning to a normal high school experience. Instead, they'll be met with strict security measures which are intended to protect them from another mass shooting but have some students feeling as if they'll be learning in a prison.
"Going to school is really so hard, and now it's going to be so much worse," said Isabelle Robinson, a senior. "A lot of the people I've talked to are dreading going back."

MSD students will only be allowed to carry clear backpacks on campus and will be required to wear new student IDs at all times.
There will be an increased police presence on campus, as Gov. Rick Scott provides extra Florida Highway Patrol officers to beef up security and provide support to Broward County sheriff's deputies. Students will have limited points of entry to the school.

"It feels like being punished," Robinson told CNN. "It feels like jail, being checked every time we go to school."
lmao..Wait until they get into the real world and have to do most of those things at their job. I have to wear an ID badge, swipe in through the doors and walk past armed security. Hey snowflakes, welcome to reality!

Your reality maybe. Not the case for most people to have to walk past armed security in the workplace even if they have to badge in. And not the case for high school students in most places.
LMAO. And the attacks continue but it won’t matter. By the way is gun control they asking not take away all guns.
its called incrementalism, and its was done to the tobacco industry, the current target, the gun industry. it starts with banning a few guns, in this case scary looking black rifles and large capacity magazines. and it is driven by people that have little to no clue about firearms and how they operate, including the fact that a gun is an inanimate object that requires a human agency to operate.

Yes and the measures now in place will help that to not happen. They wanted to feel safe in school and not worry about being shot. Now they should.
