Iowa is set to become the latest Republican-led state to target so-called sanctuary cities by withholding money from local governments that don't comply with federal immigration laws, even though the plan could lead to court challenges.

I think one of the biggest problems with the illegal resident issue in the USA is that local, state and federal govts, corporations and even American citizens, have allowed or ignored the issue for so long. I need to learn more about the sanctuary city issue but on the surface it just doesn't seem right.

Sad state of affairs that we have to have a law on the book because OTHER laws are ineffectual.

Laws only affect those who are law abiding... they have no bearing on anyone else (no matter What position they may hold in society/business/government).

The inference being that white people are more likely to support the rule of law? That seems racist.
