This is the logical fallacy that people have when it comes to anarchy; anarcho-capitalism is antithetical to being a country, as it is a collection of self-governing individuals entering into voluntary agreements with others. It is based strictly on property rights.
So you admit your utopia doesn't exist and most likely never existed with the exception of prehistoric times. People have chosen throughout human history to live in tribes and communities. Those communities require funds to operate. People in our nation agree to a taxing structure. If you don't, either vote for those who share your dreams of anarchy or move to a place that has it. I'm saying that your anarcho capitalist society will never exist because human nature won't tolerate it, let alone allow it.
Self-identifying with a political group is by definition groupthink.
It works every day, billions of times a day. If it didn't, the human race would exterminate itself in a matter of weeks.
If you come to your own conclusions through your own thoughts, that is not groupthink. Agreeing with a side and labeling yourself as something is not evidence of groupthink.
Now, if one were to march in lockstep with a party or ideology, I could certainly understand your point, and would agree. I just disagree with the idea of being conservative, liberal, etc., as an automatic indicator of groupthink.

Like I said, it's mostly people who spam political forums, write into newspapers, and call into radio shows.
The overall problem is that a huge number of people believe what the government and its media lapdogs tell them, and they parrot it without contemplating what was said and refusing to question their own beliefs.

Of all the people I see who post on here, you are the only one who doesn't seem capable of questioning your own beliefs.
Each of us certainly holds from nature and God the right to defend our person, our freedom, and our property, since these are the three elements that constitute or preserve life, elements that are mutually complementary and that cannot be understood independently of one another. For what are our faculties if not an extension of our personality, and what is property if not an extension of our faculties?
Don't forget that all of us, who identify as conservatives, or classical liberals as I identify, were once young. We were almost all liberal in the modern sense of the word, but as we gained experience we matured and abandoned that sort of thinking. I would say that we are the free thinkers that you question.
