Dozens of people have died across Japan as the country continues to swelter under scorching summer temperatures.
At least 44 people have died since July 9, with 11 dying on Saturday alone according to Kyodo News, as temperatures remained around 38 degrees Celsius (99F) in central Tokyo Monday.
In nearby Kumagaya, the mercury rose to 41.1 degrees (105.98F), the highest ever on record in Japan, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency, almost 12 degrees hotter than average temperatures at this time of year.

And by the way, we will eventually learn that 70% of the dead were on their last legs to begin with and the hot weather just pushed them over an edge they would have traversed next month anyway...
And so, of course, every instance of adverse weather on the face of the Earth, whenever it happens, wherever it happens, however it happens, when it's too wet, when it's too dry, when it's too hot, when it's too cold, is automatically and unequivocally: SEE AGW CAUSED THIS!
Every time the weather displays normal volatility, every time the weather is remotely newsworthy, it will always be: SEE AGW CAUSED THIS!
Every time something dies in the ocean or on the land, whether it be fish or fowl, or algae, or coral, or whales, or sharks, or snails, or aardvarks, it will always be: SEE AGW CAUSED THIS!
Every time a hurricane displays a minor novelty in track or behavior? Guess what: SEE AGW CAUSED THIS!
Every time a tornado lasts 8 minutes longer than the median lifetime of tornadoes at large, guess what: SEE AGW CAUSED THIS!
Armageddonism, ladies and gentlemen. But guess what? We need more money to fund more university studies to confirm more biases, publish more papers or perish from being ignored, to make more bad recommendations based on fear and loathing of freedom and Capitalism, and to demand the immediate rollback of the Industrial Revolution.
Oh, and they will be happy to supervise all of this and form environmentally reparative "companies" that of course will nee seed money from the taxpayers because they have no hope of actually ever becoming profitable or feasible.

It ain't nearly as difficult to predict that if you keep putting more and more sweaters on, you're going to get warmer. Just think of C02 as sweaters. That's how global warming works. The idea is that more C02 holds in more energy and keeps the whole Earth getting warmer. Now, some parts might get cooler. Some parts might stay the same, but on average, it's getting warmer.

In many areas of science and technology, you don’t have entire professions in political lockstep. A cross section of mechanical engineers will not produce 100% consensus on redistribution of wealth. Or much of anything else. A cross section of climate scientists will all agree that carbon taxation and redistribution is a good idea. So I am not suspicious of conclusions agreed upon by a group of mechanical engineers. Climate scientists, on the other hand, are simply not to be trusted. They share an ideology and an agenda. Plus they reside and perambulate through university culture, which we all know to be strongly leftist-collectivist. They couldn’t escape their agenda and structure even if they wanted to. That is why I do not trust the climate science-industrial complex. It is incestuous and represents a global echo chamber favoring tyranny, collectivism, statism, and cronyism.
I see a flaw in your reasoning. I haven't looked this up specifically...but I haven't noticed many climate scientists claiming that the free market should handle things either. I'll therefore agree with you that climate scientists probably usually seem to want the government to step in and handle climate change.
But...can you think of a way the free market could solve climate change? I can't...at least not until they invent practically usable fusion power, if then. Even if you can...wouldn't the free market work more slowly than the government stepping in?
Therefore, would it not seem like anyone who believes climate change is a serious problem would want the government to step in?
Therefore, I think you should want more of a reason than you've expressed to distrust climate scientists.
