That is completely false. In this particular case, people are right to be worried about what Trump may grant to Putin. Putin is smarter than Trump and knows that Trump is easily swayed by flattery.
Trump has not prepared for this meeting; he has spent the week-end golfing. In his mind (and words); he has prepared 'his whole life' for this.
That he insists on an hour alone with Putin - should alarm us all. Why the need for that? Trump is simply not qualified to spend time alone with Putin. He already gave NK everything they wanted and we got NOTHING.

We teach children to have dialogue with people who disagree with you or have problems with to see where is common ground, if anything can be done to at least peacefully coexist if nothing else.

Trump is a downright Traitor. He knows he publicly colluded when he told Russia to find Hillarys emails. Why are so many indicted? Take the blinders off.... no telling how Trump is going to sell us out with no witnesses present. What is so secret the public can’t know about it? Dialogues with enemies aren't bad. It's when your dialog with your friends goes off the rails that we have a problem. When you prefer and praise your enemies and denegrate your allies, that's a problem too.
If you're referring to Russia's interference in U.S. elections, yes, there should be dialogue. Trump should be saying he won't tolerate it. But he won't say a word to Putin, except to grovel at his feet. How can that be okay with anybody?

It's bad because he is going in alone. No one to keep him honest. He has trouble with that. It isn't wise since he is suspected of colluding with Russians.
We know he came back from NATO saying all NATO are now going to pay their way.
That's not true. PM Trudeau said Canada has no plans to change the agreement made between 28 NATO members at the 2014 at the NATO Wales Summit.
