Your not wrong and our legal system is by no means perfect. However the problems it has would be magnified exponentially in your system.

As local government budgets get tighter, police departments look for other sources of revenue, starting with fines and property seizures. The federal seizure laws show how far up that is officially approved. The endgame of communities robbing their own citizens on a massive scale is people leave and/or riot. Some delay that by robbing only the people passing through on highways.

No wonder it’s a joke. The pillar of Black Lives Matter platform should be black on black violence.

It’s easier to change your own community than it is to change who investigates the police, especially when the former has a higher body count than the latter.

I can’t stop the police from showing up in my neighbood if I keep committing crime, it’s simple logical.

In terms of investigations, they have no legal powers and no right to question people under caution.

They can use surveillance, and have in house fraud investigators who carry out work for businneses, indeed this is usually one of the main sources of work for such companies.

Security Guards are useful in protecting property and investigators can be useful in fraud and other work, but gthis does not constitute a proper police force.
