I do think we have to secure the borders, make it clear undocumented workers are not welcome.

Let's start by admitting , farmers in particular, don't really care if they are illegal or not....that they want cheap labor.
There are very few "farmers" today. These are large corporate entities largely making these decisions.

This farm belonging to the family of a Republican politician chose not to really e-verify. They are complicit in this.

And Trump and his administration are refusing to face that issue.

How much you want to bet that farm has a surge of e-verify applications in the next little while...hmmmmm

The family of the victim should sue the farm and the federal govt. for not demanding e-veerify.

That would get the point across -- better than a wall
The only thing that will work is people refusing to cover for "their party" and that is not going to happen.

Actually it COULD.

With more and more liberal states issuing driver's licenses, it is NOT inconceivable for illegals to VOTE.

In FACT , some states ARE ALLOWING illegals to vote in local elections already.
Not following the argument...it takes more than a driver's license to vote...that is just a grant if driving privileges. If you aren't going to have a mass deportation...which would raise all manner of issues...withholding driving privileges for millions of people creates a lot of issues.
I think we need to find a way to make much of our illegal population legal...the ones who have otherwise not been convicted of any major crimes and who have been leading productive lives here...while tightening enforcement of future immigration and making our immigration process more reasonable (such aas fster processing time for applications...which can take years now)

No he did not. This has been covered extensively. He simply changed the definitions.

No we can't. I've been arguing this for years and when it comes right down to it, having "your guy" always beats doing what is right.

Televised images of a few major corporation CEOs being led out of their board meetings in handcuffs would work wonders.
It's never going to happen. Never.

Thanks for the patronizing tone. Obama actually deported more illegal aliens than any president in history...and more then the cumulative total of all 20th century administrations.

She has plenty of opportunities to make her case for open borders, but don't do it in the same breath as offering condolences to a family whose daughter was just murdered by an illegal alien.

The net effect of what Warren said was that the murder of that young women is secondary to the interests of illegal aliens.
That's correct, and Warren just guaranteed the pro-Trump candidates, some extra votes.
I hope that she keep running her big mouth.

"In 2000, undocumented workers submitted an estimated 309,000 ITIN returns with ITIN/SSN mismatches, according to Congressional testimony from the U.S. Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration (TIGTA).

In less than a decade, that number quadrupled.

A 2010 TIGTA investigation showed 1.2 million undocumented workers cited income earned with another person’s Social Security number when they filed their tax returns in 2007.Those numbers came directly from the IRS records. TIGTA also conducted its own analysis, finding a statistical sample of ITIN tax returns showed 80% of ITIN taxpayers used someone else's Social Security number for employment."

Since 54% of illegal aliens can pass an e-verify vetting, the key to solving this problem and deporting illegal aliens who try to work illegally in the US is to use the IRS data base to round them up and deport them.

You must get your "news" ONLY from the alphabet TV stations!

"Ignorance is bliss", as they say.
