Me? I actually haven't been paying much attention to this thread until today or even the Supreme Court. Rather, I just happen to believe Ford and this is how it plays out ...
Here, it's the converse that's true. I rather suspect this thread is full of posters who might accept that it pretty much did come down the way she said but think it really wasn't such a big deal - until the nasty Democrat's made it one.
Sure, they are politicking and politicking hard, and maybe even reaching new "lows." But I suspect (strongly) that your real beef should be with a desperate, greedy Kavanaugh.
Well for someone not paying attention to what’s been going on with court wouldn’t get how the Democrats first vowed they would do anything to keep him from being seated right when he was announced and now are trotting out this smear campaign. Okay. But one question? Why is Kavanaugh greedy? He defended himself, yes, but that makes him greedy? Hmmmm.
I am disgusted how the left has demonized white males and their lemming cult following lap it up.
Imagine a man being outraged that he is being accused of molestation. He gets mad, as any human would, and now he's guilty. If he was demure, he would be uncaring and guilty.
Of course, he is being judged by a senate majority of white men, so the hearing is inherently unfair.
And I thought the left was the party of intellect.
This is about sexual assault that has been under reported and dismissed. Since you bring it up strangely the senate judiciary is still unanimously white male as it has been for decades, what are the odds. Beyond this event don't you find that as being odd. Orin Hatch and Chuck Grassley ignoring testimony the same as decades ago and you think that white males are an endangered species.
I haven't decided whether Kavanaugh is suitable for the Supreme Court at this point. But let me just say, I am a strong, independent working woman, and those women spitting out their vile opinions about as-of-yet unproven accusations, and the self important antics of has-been celebrities like Alyssa Milano, do NOT speak for me whatsoever. They think they are "empowering" us, but they are an embarrassment as far as I'm concerned. And for some of these women I want to ask, don't you have a job to go to? I know I do.

I hear you with some discomfort about accusations that will be difficult to prove. But then I also have a problem with folks trashing Ford because of the high stakes surrounding SCOTUS decisions.
As for Ford herself, if these accusations are true then she *knows* the character of Kavanaugh and that someone like him should not be on the Court. So come forward, fine - and then, of course, the politics begin with both parties swinging.
And at some point, if there is a vote, there has to be a decision one way or another with what evidence happens to be on hand.
No one is asking Kavanaugh to prove anything. All that was asked is that another FBI investigation regarding the current allegations be conducted.
The FBI will interview the same 5 people who have given sworn testimony. They will give the same testimony and nothing new will come out. There will be no new revelations.
The FBI will not Investigate since there are no crimes. They are just going to interview the same old people for a 2nd time.
Do you mean completely irrational, devoid of thinking for oneself and presume guilt without proof before innocence?
Or, maybe she has a son, for whom she fears a nutjob leftist accusing him of rape.
Remember people, because I know this is hard. You can't prove guilt without evidence. No matter how badly you may feel for the accuser, without any corroborating evidence, its just a story.
