I feel like the guy in the left hand corner of the video is a failed member of the media. He goes on for six minutes tell us CNN wasn't live with the interview when he could have taken 30 seconds and still had time left over to say "fake news."
You folks do realize that a lot of this on MSNBC, CNN and Fox News is recorded right? Don't Chris Cuomo and Rachel Maddow air at the same time? So if both want the same guest, one has to tape it, right? Even if they don't air at the same time, it's hard to coordinate schedules with guests. Recording a spot (recorded live, by the way, with no edits) and airing it later might be the only way to get the guest. By the way, in TV News, there is a name for that. It's called a "look live." Why? Because it looks live.
If CNN was really trying to deceive anyone, they would have cleaned that audio up at the start of the interview which is ridiculously easy to do. It would have taken about a minute to do, 30 seconds of which would have been the editor taking a bite of his sandwich as he reviewed the edit. Also, it stands to reason they knew he was going to be on Maddow, so why claim live when anyone with half a brain like this guy in the lower third could tell, oops, can't be live at two places at the same time.
Julie Swetnick holds a number of national security clearances. Is she going to throw all of those away by perjuring herself in a sworn affidavit? I don't think so. She needs to be taken seriously.
I couldn't agree more. Women do not want to be groped by men, famous or not. The idea that they do is absurd. I can imagine there are women who are so enamored of money and fame that they would be able to ignore the fact that Trump is physically repulsive, but even then, they want attention, not to be groped like and pawed at like a chunk of meat. I can't even imagine the horror of being one of those pageant constestants having to deal with being grabbed and leered at by what would feel like someone's gross old grandfather that you are forced to be nice to. Now my stomach's upset.
You are not FORCED TO BE NICE TO anyone. Ugh. I hate when women stoop to such a low level to actually claim they are FORCED TO BE NICE. Yuck. I am not forced to be nice to anybody. If I chose to be nice to someone to help my career, advance my career, win a pageant etc. that is MY CHOICE. Nobody forces you. You chose to because the end justifies the mean to YOU.
Trump declares the predatory sexual assault of women is not a crime...
...especially since it happened so long ago and/ or the women were drunk, or simply because the women showed up at the party .( or was that Graham who said because one went to another party there after her attack she must be nuts. Not that she said she went " back after"..
And especially since he does it too.
so no, by that standard...
I don't particularly like the GOP but the democrats are just absolute scum bent of destruction of the country. Don't walk, run b/c they ran out of all integrity.
You don't know that. The FBI has jurisdiction over background checks over judicial appointees. That is their standard role, their standard procedure. At a minimum they should be tasked with amending and updating Kavanaugh's background check, after interviewing the accusers and witnesses.
They did that and are doing that. Beyond updating the background checks and checking out these leads, there is literally nothing that would fall under the FBI's mandate for an investigation.
You cannot just start having the FBI investigating people because of completely uncorroborated charges about activities that are either not crimes at all, or are not federal crimes.
You just want to weaponize the FBI against someone who you regard as a political adversary. Plain and simple.
