Why would they do that if there was no history that Kavanaugh had exposed himself...
That was totally separate from the woman telling her story to The Atlantic---
People keep saying there is no evidence--
Well, there is no photo of it--
But there is evidence and there are people willing to give testimony under oath about their knowledge...

I would wager that few GOP supporters have called the Judiciary Committee, Grassley or any other member or the WH and asked for the FBI to investigate as the unbiased truth seekers...

Trump, the WH, the GOP Judiciary side---other GOP members --they have NO DESIRE to get the FBI to investigate these claims because they DO want to turn it into a he said/she said scenario so that Ford who has no stained blue dress will fail the litmus test of what they deem "credible evidence"

Grassley never had any intention of hearing Ford with an open mind--
He made that clear when he called her "confused"
His finger was already on the scale for Kavanaugh
What he did have was some smarter brains who knew the danger of creating another Anita Hill

And you know none of the Dems on the Judiciary Committee wanted Kavanaugh anyway because of his previous court decisions and his questionable testimony on separate occasions before Congress...
So the Democrats on the Committee were not going to vote for Kavanaugh anyway
Democrats in the Senate might have decided based on their situation what their decision would be

But face it---
We all know this candidate no matter who it was would NOT have had an "easy" time going through the advice and consent process for variety of factors--including lingering animosity over the Meritt Garland affront...Gorsuch was apparently such a Boy Scout there was no dirt to find...

This issue of Kavanaugh as being sexually inappropriate with females is a deeper issue of our society

Depending on the candidate it could be drugs/drinking issues, it could be financial improprieties, it could be inappropriate comments on social media or in speeches regarding immigration or other issues....
Those could have flared up and become issues if they had chosen someone they didn't vet very thoroughly...
Face it--there are plenty of people who were and are in the WH during this admin who also were not vetted very thoroughly--
Rob Porter, Sebastian Gorka, Ronnie Jackson, Mike Flynn are some that come to mind...
Supposedly Omarossa might also be on that list depending on whom you believe for why she left

It is just sad that this issue has brought out so many of the flaws in our society because there are some people who will never believe a female was assaulted or harassed by someone w/o "proof" whatever they might create as "proof"

There are some women who become enablers and refuse to see what the men in their lives are capable of doing to them or other females...
We all have heard stories of moms who don't believe daughters about being abused by males in the family or others known to them...sad to say many posters here can tell a personal story about that
Or about other experiences of abuse when they did come forward and were not believed...
As someone said today--sexual abuses rarely happen in plain sight most of the time. Although the modern generation's use of cell phones is certainly offering lot of ammunition to use against them in some sexual abuse cases...
No cell phones in Kavanaugh's prep days or in college---maybe he got lucky...

There are some men and boys who refuse to admit that getting a woman drunk or high on some other product to have sex with her is excuseable behavior--that refusing to take no for an answer is an excuseable offense for a variety of reasons...
You keep harping and playing the same old tune and get shot down each time. Aren't you getting tired of being a DNC parrot yet?
Go to the PD in Maryland and file a complaint. Simple no?

The Republican right needs to try to maintain as much contrast between the Democrat left's epicly despicable behavior and their own.

Trot her arse down to the PD in the jurisdiction that it supposedly happened (if she remembers) and file a complaint. Why does she refuse to do that I wonder?
Instead she, her masters and all the DNC/TDS harpies keep singing the same old song even though y'all KNOW that the FBI won't touch it...

we get it, trump's are motivated to support Kavanaugh to the bitter end no matter how many people come forward no matter how much proof there is.
There is NO proof!

They CAN'T FIND ANY witnesses.

Even ford's bet friend who she claims was there, says she was NOT THERE and has NEVER SEEN Kavannaugh.

No one else has come forth.

Now what?

"Lie detector tests all 'round."

They are so UNRELIABLE they are NOT ALLOWED in court cases.

What else do you have?
Why not subpoena Mark Judge and ask him under oath if he was there? Her friend has no recollection of being there. There's a difference between no recollection and saying emphatically she wasn't there. The Washington post later talked to this friend who said she believed Ford.

This is not a court of law, BTW. I say let them take a lie detector test.

As far as whatever else they can do, I'm not a lawyer and don't know all of the remedies available.

Well, she didn't and here we are. It's so funny to me that people seem to think people's experiences run out along with the statute of limitations. That's not how it works.

Carry on.

I'm not at Cosby/Weinstein with Kavanaugh. Different level. No drugging, no forcible rapes we've heard about, nothing in the last thirty years. Not an apologist for Kavanaugh. I would rather Liz Warren were the nominee. But at some point we have to stop lumping everybody together uncritically. They're accused of different things, different numbers of times, at different time periods, with different levels of evidence. People were comparing Kavanaugh to Ted Bundy a couple of days ago.

I know very FEW people who DIDN'T do this at least ONCE on college.
Not everybody drank in high school and college. Don't paint with such a broad brush.
