They're accused of different things, different numbers of times, at different time periods, with different levels of evidence. People were comparing Kavanaugh to Ted Bundy a couple of days ago.
They're all accused of sexual assault/abuse.

Yes, the individual cases have differences.

No, the accusations haven't been dismissed in ANY of them.

Cosby, Weinstein, and the Catholic church have all paid a price for their crimes.

It's still up in the air as to what happens with Kavanaugh, but he's swinging and missing in his confirmation. But the senate Pubs are playing umpires and we'll have to see if they make the right call or if they walk him with 3 strikes. Right now, they appear to be entirely willing to call a crooked game.

This is as chance for Collins and Murkowsky to show the country if they're Pubs or Americans.

Even in the 80's guys did go to prison for rape--although not very often judges' sons...
And Kavanaugh is probably lucky that he targeted girls/women who were not a real threat in that their parents were not MORE wealthy/politically connected that his were or his friends' parents were...
He isn't stupid
Predators usually have an instinct for how to target prey

And frankly alcohol is a drug--
The two stories we have had come to light involve drinking--even if Ford wasn't drunk--that is likely the only reason she COULD resist and try to fight back

If most of Kavanaugh's "dates" were pretty blotto then likely there was little resistance
as Mark Judge's former girlfriend said he confessed to her about the time he and friends had sex with a female who was so drunk she wasn't really conscious...
Unconscious, drunk women don't usually make credible witnesses when they accuse men of rape...
Just like those given "date rape" drugs designed to render them unconscious w/no memory...
Ramirez and Ford don't accuse him of getting them drunk. Not comparable to slipping drugs into drinks at all.

Agree on the father conversation possibility, but don't see that as a negative.

If he stopped, I don't see what better outcome society could have hoped for. Oh right, we missed out on vengeance.

Let's say another father takes a baseball bat to his kid's head and says, "Stop selling drugs for that gang on the corner, or I'll take you out." The kid straightens up, gets two jobs, and works for thirty years and leads a squeaky clean life without a hitch. Do we really have to dredge up the pot he sold decades later and take him to court? Give me a break. Cosby and Weinstein did not reform. Different deal altogether, barring further revelations. If the Avenatti drug party/train thing is true, I'm with you.

The "victim" trotts her arse down to the Police station in Maryland and files a complaint. That complaint is either investigated or not and then it proceeds from there. At NO POINT is anyone forced to take a test that is not admissible in court or that can be tricked (by a skilled psychologist maybe?).

You see, we have this thing called a CONSTITUTION and a BILL OF RIGHTS. Accuser presents their case and the accused gets to defend themselves. Sooooo sorry that's inconvenient for you.
What do you think is the percentage of 15 year old girls that trot themselves down to the police station to claim sexual abuse in the 1980's or even today. The statistics indicate that most go unreported. If you are recommending that Ford report this now then then Kavanaugh will be on his second or third year before the investigation is complete. The FBI could investigate this in a few days but the WH refuses to provide direction, do you want facts before a senate vote or after.

This is not a criminal trial, we are attempting to establish credibility.

And if they made a report at the time, even if it went nowhere, there would be a record of it. That’s how Bill Cosby finally went down. There were police reports, there were civil suits and deposition testimony that convinced people.

So because of the fact that the rule of law doesn't work fast enough for you, you want to change the laws? I think the bigger issue here is her not being willing to actually file a report. Its a pattern in many of these accusations, women are not reporting it to the police, just blasting it on social media and to the press, which is convenient since you cant quite face the same legal repercussions for that as you would for filing a false police report.

Keith Ellison is standing for election, not a lifetime appointment. It's up to the voters in his district to address the charges.

And Kavanaugh's buddy Ed Whelan too, who tried to frame an innocent man with the assault on Christine Ford. Whelan even posted a picture of the guy on the internet.

Wouldn't it be better to have an official investigation rather than this dripping of little tidbits of information, implicating otehrs that don't want to be involved but are by the nature of their relationship -- minor or otherwise -- with Kavanaugh and his 'brothers'.
