His emotion is raw. any innocent person accused of attempted rape would react the same to outright lies and attempts to smear his life's work, not to mention anger at people who have threatened his family's safety.
I believe Kavanaugh.
No, see.. according to posters here when Dr. Ford cries about something that happened 35 years ago its "moving" and "lends credibility" to her accusation.
When a man cries out of pure anger and frustration it is "pent up anger" and a bad thing.
I have no idea who is lying but I am so happy I have two slow days at work to witness the blatant blindness of some people. At least pretend to be somewhat partial lol.
He really needs to acknowledge what everyone knows - that he got very very drunk very often in high school. That would add greatly to his credibility.
Exactly. Sticking to his "choir boy" image that he is trying to maintain when everyone knows he was a heavy drinking in high school and probably college shows how much of a liar he is and throws this whole testimony into question.
Good grief. This guy doesn't have the emotional fortitude to be a SC justice. If he was a woman people would be speculating if he was on his period, he's so weepy.
How dare a Republican show feeeeeeeelings. That is the Dems' tactic.
If he did not show emotion, they would claim he is robotic, emotionless, and that is a sign of lying. If he does show emotion, they will claim it is because he got caught, and is a sign of lying.
I'll admit, I'm surprised at the track Kavanaugh chose to take. It's much more combative than I expected.
I'm sure Republicans will eat it up, but as a former Rep, now Independent, I find his demeanor appalling. The bipartisanship he's displaying and the diatribe he's unleashing is something No Supreme Court Candidate has done before - including Thomas when he was accused. I also find his opening statement, and the tone, to be unbefitting of someone who wants to be a SC Justice.
Totally agree. Inappropriate diatribe to say the least. Impartial he will never be. The GOP is no doubt eating up his rant - but I find it scary. He needs to be dispassionate and display control. This is what we should expect of SC justices.
That said, I do believe Christine Ford. Just don't think that particular incident is relevant to today unless it can be proven that this behavior continued after he left the high school/college world of drink and parties and all the frat boy crap that goes on that world.
Imo, the assault incident, because of when it took place, is not disqualifying.
However, the rant we are now hearing, with all its partisan implications, certainly is disqualfying.
I hope the female Senators are as appalled as we are.
Yeah, she should be having fun. God, is that all you've got?
