Impeachment is the republican talking point. Most democrats are against it.
lmao...So clueless. The MSM said the "I word" as they call it 222 times a few days ago. Yes, the LEFT leaning media has been saying it. So has Maxine Waters and few other dimwitted Dems.
Again, Trump supports showing their ignorance of the US history, the rule of law and the Constitution. I'm not sure what gives them the idea that the president can just appoint a vice president in the case of a vacancy in that office. Like Trump, they just say something that is not true and they all think "it works like that".
To be sure, the president cannot just appoint a vice president and that's the end of that.
They should really read the 25th Amendment one day. Article 2 to be precise.
"Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress."
What a bunch of morons. It is really embarrassing, but if they saw it in a meme on Facebook, it must be true.
/thread.
Also, impeachment is the right wing media talking point to get their base foaming. They want you to believe the Dems are talking about it.
OMG people, the Senate would have to approve any VP pick. There would be hearings. Jesus Christ. Get a grip you unhinged loons.
This, although I'd have phrased it differently:
First of all, "impeachment" does not mean "guilty". There has to be a Senate trial first before a President can be convicted of the charges brought forth in the impeachment.
Congress - both houses by a majority vote - must approve an appointed Vice President. Can anyone see Congress approving a convicted President - the guy the Senate just convicted, no less? - as the new Vice President? LMAO ...
I do agree the Photoshopped flames are cool, though.
Unhinged loons... Like op suggesting this would be a realistic possibility?
I was directing my ire towards Twitter too. The blindly ignorant and those uneducated in how our political process works will see this and next thing you know it spreads like wildfire and sparks another mindless debate.
Well all know he's not getting impeached, but if you're brain-washed enough to think so, did you ever consider this possibility?
Not possible.
Trump would not be eligible to any office as a felon. Accepting a pardon is an admission of guilt.
Very simplistic dreams you people have there ...
