Let me see if I get this straight:

- Middle class gets tiny tax cuts
- Middle class is burdened with paying the tariffs that are designed to protect US corporations from China (among other) corporations
- US Corporations possibly get more sales due to tariffs
- US Corporations get the lion's share of the tax cuts
- US Corporations essentially increase their profits due to tax cuts as well as ostensibly through more sales of US-made goods

So, is all this money just funneling to the top 1%? And we are cheering this on?

The U.S. tariff imposed last year on Canadian softwood lumber is about 20%.
Trump's lumber tariffs make home ownership too expensive for more than a million Americans

As far as steel is concerned...

Don't listen to the hypocrite Leftists here. Ask them if they supported OWS' message and they will all most likely say yes because they absolutely did. OWS' message was that importing stuff from China was BAAAAAD and that we should be buying American made products even if it costs more because that would in turn provide more jobs for citizens here in this country. Now, the Left has abandoned that entirely and supports complete Globalism. What a fallacy Progressivism is. They are for AND against everything at the same time depending on what their elected leaders say.

Thanks Bigly Donald! Making America Groan Again!

I guess Walmart and others will have to start buying locally...Wouldn't that be something?

Low tariffs in the past on Canadian lumber has accomplished a couple of things....One: US lumber mill closing because of low cost imported Canadian lumber. Two: Obvious lost of American jobs because of item one. Three: Canadian buying US lumber mills use to export logs to Asia.

Trump’s trade wars start biting GOP ahead of midterms

President Donald Trump’s trade battles are already triggering economic warnings — and rising danger for Republicans just ahead of the midterm elections.

As fresh U.S. tariffs on $200 billion in Chinese imports take effect Monday, surveys show consumers growing increasingly worried about higher prices this fall. Giant retailers such as Walmart are warning of price increases for manufactured goods. And smaller businesses in swing states and districts from Washington state, to Iowa, to Tennessee are complaining bitterly about big hits to their exports.
