A police report should be easy to obtain then and see the details. A person can be in a fight and it not be there fault. He was not arrested, so, seems it was not serious at all. Basically, who cares.
The fight started after he threw things at another patron.
Happened in Duke Lacrosse case and UVA. These big national media stories attract all kinds of nutters.

No one is suggesting his behavior merits execution, merely that there could be better candidates for SCOTUS justice than this.
Yeah, I’m not going to consider drinking in college or throwing ice at some drunk guy as disqualifying factors for a SCOTUS candidate. Of note, if you think that is disqualifying, then someone like Obama is definitely disqualified from serving on the court.

Also, was he questioned over this? If not, then it is not on him, no one asked him, being an idiot in college in my opinion means nothing decades later.
I was not in that room that night and don't pretend to know what happened. Ford decriers seem to be divided between those thinking her unstable (although why she might be so unstable that she confuses Kavanaugh with another is not clear) OR those who think this well-staged (which does not explain why an intelligent woman would have left seemingly surprising story gaps).
Your entire post was excellent, but this paragraph sums up why so many women don't come forward. Many of the posters here are representative of the kind of judgement women who come forward face. They have declared her unstable (it's her fault this happened) or that this is all staged (she's lying).
Blame the victim mentality is alive and well here, even in light of classmates of Kavanaugh coming forward and claiming he is lying. They will continue to blame the victim.

It's not about being an idiot, its about whether he lied about his behavior under oath in his testimony. If he did that is disqualifying.
