I suspect voters are more concerned with the principle of innocent until proven guilty -- the foundation of our legal system. She has nothing but her word and her word is muddled in time lapses, memory lapses, and downright lies.

Ford said it was in a house .. in a particular part of town after a day at the Country Club pool where she was practicing diving because she still had on her one piece bathing suit.

Ford said when it occurred .. and could give the nearly precise date, as it is associated with when Mark Judge was working at a safeway in town that summer ... she could pinpoint if that is what they wanted but of course they would have to question Mark Judge.

Kavenaugh s calendar put him at the scene...
..the calendar that became the focus of the questioning whereby Lindsey Graham began his rehearsed and contingently timed..unhinged fire and fury.

This behavior by Trump and His Republicans was predicted. They would move the goalposts because the other day they said the Democrats would....when?? When would democrats move the goalpost ?
They didn t get a chance because Trump Republicans beat them to it by halving the alloted one week Investigation. Why ? What have they learned that will prevent an up vote for Kav?
You know what - I'm going to just put it out there:

I'm OK with what Trump is doing

There I said it. Because the Dirty Dems have shown that they will do anything and everything, regardless if it destroys the woman they are using to throw off this most important SCOTUS nom, or the honorable judge's career or his family. They don't care about CBF, or any woman for that matter. They are just interested in ensuring their power for the foreseeable future.

Just like in Divorce Court, if you are going to be completely open and honest, and play nice - you are going to get totally screwed!

The ABA never "downgraded" Brett Kavanaugh -- they just didn't give him their highest rating the FIRST time he was up for a Nomination - their stated reason was "No Experience as a Judge"

That's not a "downgrade" .... that's a 1st Grade.
12 years on the Bench and 307 Opinions got him the Up-Grade.

As I said Carlson speaks for the ABA. He does not override the committee but he still speaks for the ABA. And the ABA wants the report before the appointment of Kavanaugh.

To clear up the confusion I went to the ABA web site and looked at the standing committee's statement

Here it is

RE: Nomination of Brett M. Kavanaugh to be Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States
Dear Chairman Grassley and Ranking Member Feinstein:

The Correspondence by Robert Carlson, President of the American Bar Association, of September 27, 2018, was not received by the American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary prior to its issuance. The Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary acts independently of ABA leadership.
The Committee conducts non-partisan, non-ideological, and confidential peer review of federal judicial nominees. The ABA’s rating for Judge Kavanaugh is not affected by Mr. Carlson’s letter.

Sincerely,

Paul T. Moxley
Chair
American Bar Association’s Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary

I suspect you are wrong
There are many people who know that coming forward the instant after an assault happens is one of the most difficult acts a female can do
Witness all the hostile language and dogma being strutted out all in the name of "being honest"

Kavanaugh is not going back to teach at Harvard
Why--because of student complaints
He is getting heat at Yale because of the way female law students were "groomed" as applicants for clerkships under his review power
Kavanaugh has plenty of people who could testify FIRST HAND based on what they saw and heard him do in prep school and afterwards as to his drinking habits
His own personal letter that was in the NYTimes today--that Kavanaugh had to acknowledge was his own writing/letter--shows someone who is not the "Galant" choir-boy type he alluded to in his confirmation testimony
Kavanaugh just like Trump has a long habit of always making himself into what people want to see
When he was working for Ken Starr then he was all for bringing Clinton to "Justice" using subpoena power or whatever was necessary

Once Bush was in the WH and under a dark cloud because of various illegal actions then Kavanaugh was backing off and having a "reassessment" of his legal view of a president's ability to be subpoenaed for any reason...
Now that Trump is in office and under the guns so to speak of Mueller's investigation AND OTHERS--then Kavanaugh is decidedly against having the POTUS answerable to any special prosecutor or Grand Jury subpoena---
How convenient, how partisan...

Sorry, but you are wrong:

Quote:
Republicans kept pushing to make Kavanaugh a judge on the powerful appeals court, year after year. In his defense, they cited multiple reviews by the ABA’s judicial review committee that found him “well qualified” — the big attorney association’s highest possible endorsement, meaning Kavanaugh had outstanding legal abilities and outstanding judicial temperament.

Quote:
But in May 2006, as Republicans hoped to finally push Kavanaugh’s nomination across the finish line, the ABA downgraded its endorsement.

Unless you can provide something else, then you are wrong...And if you can, I'll agree with you.

You can't do that unless you can prove without a doubt that she intended to lie. That'd be almost impossible unless you can come up with someone who she told she was lying or was paid for doing what she did.

All she has to say is "it's my memory" like she's been saying.
Now going after the Creepy Porn Lawyer for what he's done, that's another story especially now after Sweathog or whatever her name is went on TV and totally blew up what the Creepy Porn Lawyer alleged...

Can you provide a link, please?
