As per the post you are responding to, I never claimed Kav lied even once about not wanting an FBI investigation. She must have misunderstood what I said. I posted the whole thing for her to read but whatever.

No! Brett Kavanaugh needs to be voted on at least. If they reject him now, where will he go to get his reputation back? They can’t just abandon him now.

Kavanaugh will agree to the FBI Interview -- Ford will probably not. Her lawyers wouldn't even let her answer the benign questions in the Senate hearing and kept shutting off her mike.

Ramirez has agreed to the interview - but that could change, all of her witnesses say 'never happened'.
The guy who recanted on his Boat Rape charges is already in deep doo-doo.

Turns out it's against the Law to fabricate information during a Senate Judicial Confirmation - now that the Democrats insisted the FBI get involved - they are checking them all.
Also checking who leaked the Ford Letter.

The FBI has already checked Kavanaugh back to kindergarten -- I'm not kidding about that.
You have no idea what these things are like until you have been involved in them.
One of the references we gave of a high school friend was never questioned ..... but his parents neighbors were all interviewed. They check backgrounds on everyone in your family, everyone listed as as a reference and then they check out their friends.

I've been interviewed 3-4 times by the FBI for Security Investigations on other people. In each case they asked me for 3 other names of people that I though might know the person they were checking on.
In each case - I was aware the interview was because of their job and Security Clearance.
Yeah, my grandparents lived in Amarillo near where they build nuclear warheads, and they got interviewed about friends frequently.

Someone alluded that she went to meet the "cool" Kavanaugh; if he was so darn popular, how would Keyser not recall any of this?

Did Ford or Keyser know anyone there?

How did she get there, leave, what location, date, time of day, was it day or night out, and any follow up from her friend as to why she suddenly left?
I find it odd that so far to my knowledge anyway nobody out of all these people remembers the house or where it was, and such different accounts of who was there and who wasn’t, who left, how anybody got home or got there.
I would think there would be a general consensus of at least a half dozen people who could answer these questions and have the same answers. How hard can it be. I think there’s more people who remember stuff but in view of this blowup they’re afraid to speak out as now they’re all adults with careers, mortgages, families, and they don’t want to get involved whether it would help Kavanaugh or Ford. They want no part of it .

The FBI uncovers criminal activity, employment history, and financial problems, not what the candidate does when he is off work socializing or at home.

Many of these individuals are functional alcoholics, and it is much easier to hide a drinking problem when the drinker has a enabling spouse. Leonard Nimoy, Stephen King, and Samuel L. Jackson were all high functioning alcoholics who kept working full throttle right through their boozing days. Disclaimer: I am not saying Kavanaugh is an alcoholic; just that he could be and an FBI background check wouldn't pick that up unless he really screws up and gets a DWI or something.
Your statements about alcohol are incorrect - in the first place there are questions about how much and what you drink on the Security questionnaires you have to fill out and they are a BOOK.

I already said I have been interviewed by the FBI 3-4 times about other people - each time I was asked about alcohol consumption. Did I ever seen them drink? What did I see them drink? How often did I see them drink? How much did they drink? Did I ever see them drunk? How often? How drunk?

They asked a lot about that. They asked about money issues, marital issues, honesty issues, did they ever discuss their work? They asked about their wives, children, any affairs .... and I'm still not sure except in one case - why they were asking me questions at all. I knew these people, but I was not close friend with them. It IS an Investigation when it comes to a Top Secret Clearance and SAP Clearance and that's exactly what Kavanaugh had.

Yes, and the 2008 date was in error.

Better than being known as rapist. I personally think he’s far more likely to be open minded with his history than Amy Barrett, and he damn sure is going to be more empathetic to accused people after this, so the Democrats are better off with him.
