It's common knowledge that only federal immigration agents are authorized and situated to enforce immigration law. Democrats are my source that they won't allow full enforcement and it ubiquitous. According to them, no invasions, no legal loopholes, nothing to see here, no problem man.
I would be shocked if any on the progressive left actually bothered to care about how much they actually cost. They want this country to fail and that's one of the quickest ways of getting there.
They learned nothing from the lessons of past civilizations like Greece, Rome, and even France. It's almost like they want a new dark age.
I think their agenda is different. I don't think they want our nation to fail they think it will be a huge success by increasing the Democrat base of voters. Of course this is what will make it fail with socialism and a population of two classes....the rich and the poor and other failed policies that they can't seem to see. There are some who have a desire to fill up this country with their own ethnic group aka Hispanics so that they will be an undeniable force in this country politically and culturally. Both are sinister agendas.

Where's the discrepancy? Their net cost is still over $100 billion a year to the taxpayer.
That is just right wing rhetoric, this is not an invasion. The president and others even went the extra mile to claim there are ISIS and middle easterners hidden in the march. Why is the head of Homeland, Kirstjen Nielsen doing a promo at the border when we have a terrorist sending around pipe bombs, she looked great in her Ray Bans but she really needs to get her priorities in order. The march wont be here for weeks.
They need to be stopped at the border but this isn't the emergency they are making it.
Yes, it is an invasion if they mass at the border and try to force their way in like the did in Mexico

"Welfare" (food stamps, school meals, child care, etc.) is only a part of the costs.
For those quaking in their boots over "the caravan", I will bring you to reality. You have more to fear shopping on Black Friday then you do from a bunch of poor peasants on the US-Mexican border.

The so-called "catch and release" practice has been an issue dating back at least to the Republican administration of George W. Bush.
It refers to the practice of releasing immigrants apprehended at or near the border, expecting them to appear at a later date before a U.S. immigration judge. The Bush administration in August 2006 said it would end the "catch and release" of nearly all non-Mexican immigrants caught at the border. (Mexican nationals are almost immediately sent back to Mexico.)
The Obama administration allowed the release of immigrants seeking asylum in the United States if they did not pose a danger to the community and were not a flight risk.
(The 1997 Flores Settlement Agreement allows the release of unaccompanied minors to family members or sponsors who can care for them as their immigration case is resolved. The settlement came after lawsuits against the government alleging mistreatment of detained unaccompanied minors during the 1980s.)
Trump in January 2017 signed an executive order to terminate "catch and release," and Attorney General Jeff Sessions in April 2017 claimed the practice was over.
But in an October Senate hearing, Sessions said "catch and release" was still happening.
"It's not the policy. It's just the reality that there are so many people claiming and being entitled to hearings that we don't have the ability to provide those hearings, and they are being released into the community, and they're not coming back for their hearings," Sessions said."
So the Dems are keeping them from coming back for their hearings?

Nobody's afraid of anything. They don't deserve or have right to anything in this or any other country. Even less so when they break the law to get in.
All you guys do is resist and complain any effort to address it.
