No. Social Security is a broken pyramid scheme only able to succeed if the US workforce population is constantly increasing... but that is an unsustainable premise.
We also need to do something about the high cost of educating our grade school children and stop educating the children of illegals too. If my property taxes weren't so high (due to the high costs of public education), then I could actually save for my retirement and not need monthly SS checks.
Social Security is one of the most successful government programs in history.
