Obamas & Bushes. Warmongers whose actions got 10s of 1000s of Americans killed, 100s of 1000s others killed, and many millions displaced. All for nothing. Honest history would describe them as war criminals, especially in the eyes of those affected by the above.

GWB isn't a racist in his heart. But he does come from a Billionaire family of WASPs and probably cannot relate much to the historical black or brown experience.
No need to take this too far and pick the guy apart. He's a "reformed but dry drunk" without the capabilities of being a President. At first I thought that wouldn't hurt much (due to all the help a POTUS gets), but WOW was I proven wrong.
I now have a vastly higher standard for the minimum.
He should have been salesman or a preacher or something like that. I head that his interpersonal skills are off the charts.
None of that excuses him from the results of his ignorance or actions. History won't excuse him either.
But, back to the OP, I see nothing wrong with Michelle and him being friends. It's so far down the lists from being responsible for destroying much of our civilization (war, recession, etc)...that it simply doesn't even register.
There are no Republican progressives. Plenty of Republican regressives.
