VITAL TO DISARM
=\=\=\=\=\=\=
You can never have an efficient totalitarian police state, when it has to be “benevolent” and fearful of millions of armed citizens. And you can’t disarm millions of armed citizens when they won’t tell you where the arms are. And you can’t arrest them until you criminalize their disobedience to “reasonable” gun restrictions and “common sense” registration. And you can’t tolerate their belief that they have an “endowed right” to self defense against tyranny, that supersedes your political power of the bigger gun.
• An Armed Populace Fears No Government.
• A Disarmed Populace Fears All Government.

Directly from what you posted

"Has it had an impact on the foot traffic and people who were upset with us on this? Yes," Stack said. "Has it impacted our profitability? No. We found ways to offset that.
It didn't hurt just their hunting business. I used to spend a fair amount at Dick's for sportswear, softball equipment and camping gear.

Haven't spent a penny there since they came out as left wing nutjob extremists and I won't ever again.

I really doubt that many people were buying guns from Dicks to begin with.

The guns there were too expensive anyway. Guns are generally cheaper at local gun shops.

When a customer goes in a store to buy one item, doesn't matter what store, they usually buy something else while In there. Just human nature. So if I can't buy what I want in a specific store, I am more apt to do all my shopping elsewhere.
