He just told our troops that they have not had a raise in 10 years. Everyone in attendance knew it was a straight up lie. He is getting so lazy in his lies, it's as if he no longer even cares that his word means literally nothing.
Not only that but he said he gave them a 10% raise when it was only 2.6%. What a liar.
Guys, Trump has been POTUS for nearly two years. Everything he says gets fact-checked and the "fake news media" proves Trump wrong at least once a day.
Why...why does Donald Trump continue to lie? He just flat out says things that aren't true. I wish an informed Trump supporter would come into this thread and explain to us why they feel Trump lies so often.
The topic is "POTUS IS LYING AGAIN, PART II". Is this only specific to Trump or can I post factual lies by previous Presidents as well?

WHY DOES HE DO STUFF LIKE THAT?! All he had to do is visit the troops. It’s a feel good photo op, easy peasy! It’s like he can find a way to screw up ANYTHING. Ugh, he’s so incredibly frustrating.

I imagine that the soldiers in attendance enjoyed the lies President Trump told.
After all, that is Mr. Trump's 'act': he gets in front of an audience and lies.
If I were to go to a Trump speech, I would go hoping that he lives up to his billing and tells lies that would make the news.
If one were to go to a Billy Joel concert, and Mr. Joel announced that instead of singing and playing the piano, he would show off some dance moves he had been working on, I, and the rest of the audience, would feel disappointed.
So, when I saw clips of the troops cheering, I felt that they were cheering, in part, the magnitude of the lies that Mr. Trump was telling. Indeed, the soldiers were probably gratified that they were lies that needed no fact checking, for they all knew about how they had gotten annual raises (which shrank to 1 or 2 percent once Republicans took over the Senate in 2010) for the past 10+ years, and how they knew that they were not receiving a 10 percent (or more!) raise for the next year.
Yes. I'm sure that our military attendees returned to their barracks pleased that the President of the United States of America lived up to his billing.
