Oooh, someone needs to turn on his TV. Schumer and Pelosi just spanked Donnie over the wall issue, on camera.

One wonders if conservatives ask themselves any questions before posting things like this or "why didn't Democrats give Trump a chance"...

You could argue that the reason Barack Obama won two terms is because people wanted healthcare reform.

So why were Republicans trying to oppose Obama on this?

I think the wall issue is really more symbolic than practical.

For Trump, it symbolizes that "hey, look at me, I'm really tough on immigration, and I'm tough on any one who tries to stop me!" - even if there are much more effective ways to deal with border security.

For Democrats, it symbolizes that "look, we won the House, and we're no longer gonna just roll over and give you whatever you want" - even though $5B isn't that much in the scheme of things, and the wall might even help border security

He also said the Mexicans would pay for it. That was a BIG part of his campaign lie.

Do you understand that the average taxpayer does NOT want to pay for it?

Excellent question. And they opposed him every step of the way - the SAME way I expect Democrats to oppose Trump. THAT is why they were elected ~ to put a check on this megalomaniac.

Gee, I don't know. Maybe because we have always "opposed Trump on this"?

Trump also ran his campaign with the promise that Mexico would pay for the wall. He even had the crowds at his rallies shouting "Mexico will pay for the wall!" Did you guys actually believe that? And if you did, why don't you hold Trump accountable for that campaign promise? Meanwhile, taxpayers get to foot the bill to allow those on the right to cower behind some wall.

We need immigration reform, not immigration absurdity.

Obama's healthcare reform during a deep recession when millions of people were out of work forced people like me to pay for insurance I couldn't afford, with deductibles so high I couldn't even get healthcare. That's not healthcare reform, or affordable. He had a super-majority. Why did he pass something that foisted that on me, a lower middle-class person who was never eligible for subsidies. Obama actually had some support from everyone until he did that. That's when the Tea Party protests and town hall fights started happening, when they were pushing for this unaffordable boondoggle when people were out of work.

1 no he did not. YOU might think that but that is only your feels, not a fact.

2 You had TWO YEARS with complete power all three branches completely under your control and your own PARTY refused to fund it. Republicans REFUSED TO FUND IT..

3 you are trying to blame dems, for Trump's failure to get his own party to fund the wall.... pretty weak sauce dude.

Of course he also ran on the premise he was not just another lying politician which we now know to be the biggest lie of all.

Not to mention that he will never be able to play golf due to him being to busy in the WH.
