Do you have a better idea to reduce unwanted pregnancies?
How is using contraceptives not a good idea? Just pay for them yourself. One CHOOSES to have sex. Part of the responsibility and obligation of making that CHOICE for oneself is to buy and use contraceptives to avoid unwanted pregnancies.

I explained it in the post you replied to, but for god knows what reason you removed it from the quote.

It seems common sense that to reduce number of abortions is to reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies. It is something pro-life people should support, not oppose. Like I said, I get it that Catholics are against contraceptives (regardless who pays for them), and that's cool. No one should be forced to use them, but to fight to have them removed from the insurance seems like just a move to control their members. Why not let the individual decide if they want to use them or not.
The "let them buy their own contraceptives" has been the US policy for decades, and we have had a very high rate of unwanted pregnancies. However, we saw a 18% decline since contraceptives were included in insurance plans. For those of us who are pro-life for non-political reasons, that is very good news.
So, we actually found a way to reduce unwanted pregnancies, and hence abortions, and you insist on dialing it back to the system where the numbers were higher. Go figure......
I think it's strange that "Christians" have an issue with birth control. Especially since Christians have an issue with abortion (which I can understand). It would make sense that Christians would support BC since it reduces the amount of abortions....
I don't think any job should have a right to tell people what sorts of prescriptions they can take in their personal lives.
Someone else mentioned JW's. If you work for a JW and need a blood transfusion, do you really think it is good that your employer can force their religious beliefs upon you and tell you no?
Note, I agree that ACA is being gutted - which is good in a way since more people are now willing to go for a complete overhaul and support a universal healthcare option that takes the power away from churches and religious business owners in regards to telling you what you can and cannot take via prescriptions or what sorts of medical procedures you can have. Bad enough that insurance companies already do this based on cost (and FWIW insurance companies would rather people get on BC than get pregnant and have babies because it is cheaper to just give out pills or IUDs/other BC devices). No one's religious beliefs should be a part of healthcare decisions.

NO ONE should be forced under penalty of imprisonment to fund others' sexual activity. Plain and simple.
Those who want to VOLUNTARILY contribute to a charitable fund that provides free contraceptives may CHOOSE to do so, if they wish. Shouldn't be a problem, it's the perfect opportunity for collectivist left-wing nutters to put their money where their mouths are.
Everything is about money. You should understand that.
It looks like they are not getting any kind of discount for having the coverage removed. They fought to reduce coverage and still pay the same price.
Judging by the replies here, many people who claim to be pro-life, say so only for partisan reasons. We just reduced abortions by 18% and they actually complain about it. They never had any interest in solutions, they just use it as a political arguing point.

People who are that petty, and who don't understand how being a part of a pool works, don't care that they're not getting a discount. They just care that the money they contribute to the pool isn't going to anyone else.
