I was sitting in my LR one day when the mail carrier came upon my porch. Went out as he walked off and got my mail. My wife asked if her package had come, I said no. A few minutes later she got notice it had been delivered. PO insisted the carrier had left it at our house. They would do nothing. Same carrier had left two packages that belonged to my neighbor on my porch. Amazon replaced it but both of us have our house number in 12" high numbers on our porch. He either stole the package or left it elsewhere.

We constantly get mail for a neighbor with our house number but a different street address. However, this rarely happens with FedEx, UPS, or Amazon prime delivery service.

Neighbors decided to upgrade their security system. The box with the cameras and so forth was stolen right off their front porch. Fortunately their old security cam was sufficient to identify the thief.

Best of luck.
I have a heavy cabinet bolted to the wall on my front porch, with a hasp and lock. I put up a note on the door for the delivery people to put the package inside, lock it and very important, to remove the note, so as not to give any clues that something valuable might be inside.

We order from Walmart and have it shipped to our nearest store. Free shipping if sent to the store.

Having read OP's posts on this forum, I am sure she would vote for such a DA -- never realizing the relationship between her votes and the fact that her packages are getting stolen.

Stupid people deserve what happens to them and victims of package thieves are no exception.
