Very true. The Republican Party is no longer a conservative party. It has become the tool of empowerment for a corporatist oligarchy. America is no longer the Republicans' concern. Their corporate masters see America as their private yard sale, selling off our nation's assets for short-term personal gain at the expense of the public. And the Republicans enable it.

I would if I were a chemist. It doesn't matter, though, because banned weapons were found. Saddam was supposed to show that they were ALL destroyed. Not 50% of them. Not 80% of them. ALL of them.

No, the international concept of "imminent threat" would seem a reasonable one to me. Of course, Iraq was not one of those either, but I guess you are among those who believe that asking one to have an actual reason for invading foreign countries is just so much useless, bothersome nit-picking.
The problem with that is al Qaeda and the Taliban were not considered to be an "imminent threat" to the U.S. until they attacked on 9/11.

Anyone here who claims to know that is lying. And as at least some here are quite likely to have the capacity to recall, far from being off, the heat was at an all-time high level. Hans Blix and his inspectors were crawling all over the place. They would have proved conclusively that invasion was unnecessary had they been given the time to complete their mission. But Bush couldn't allow that to happen...he had to hurry up and invade with the army he had...his time was running out. It was invade now, or see the chance slip away from him forever.
Saddam was paying his scientists to develop nuclear weapons. The scientists took the money but delayed doing it. But it is clear that Saddam had the intention of building nuclear weapons. And anyone who disagrees is not living in the real world.

Iraq had no ties to Al Qaeda before the war. It would have made more sense to decare war to Pakistan where Al Qaeda was and probably still is. Iraq was not threat to the US until they invaded.

I wish people would stop defending Iraq and the former murderous dictator.
Iraq had definite ties to al Qaeda. Read up about Salman Pak (the terrorist training camp about 25 miles southeast of Baghdad).

Also, consider these points...

WMD was not the only reason to invade Iraq. In fact, if you listen to Bush's speeches just before the March, 2003 invasion, he mentioned "liberation" more often than "WMD."

Some of what was found in Iraq...

Iraq violated the cease-fire agreement numerous times...

Excellent legitimate information fleet.

Few of the bush-haters actual go back in time and take a peek at the info presented at the time.

They also seem to forget "W" could do nothing without a willing congress. They agreed because the info was there, the world thought he had WMD, no doubt he was in violation of numerous U.N. Resolutions, as well as firing upon out fighter pilots patrolling the no-fly zone.

So much they forget.

""he mentioned "liberation" more often than "WMD."

He "mentioned' 9/11 more than anything. IF the first C&P of your post(no author or source) was true then why did he NEED 9/11???
