Here we have a segment of the population that would continue an illegal/immoral/unjustifiable war (with all the consequences it brings), rather than agree to end it because of team affiliation or dislike of the individual ending it. Americans sure are stupid.
Hitler thought along the same lines and made a series of mistakes against the advice of his generals.
Except Hitler exterminated Jews and invaded Poland starting a world war that killed millions. Trump is pulling us out of conflict in the Middle East that we have no business being involved in. But yeah, comparing him to Hitler definitely is a rational way of thinking.
Look, I'm sympathetic to arguments that we shouldn't be so deep in the Middle East. Mistakes were made in the past, both under Bush and Obama, thay got us in there.
But the reality is it happened. And now that we're there, we need to see certain things through to get to a point of effective withdrawal.
ISIS is no lt defeated; that's another Trump lie. When every single ranking military member, foreign policy expert, and even key GOP Senators are telling you this is a mistake, we should listen. Listening is not Donald's strong suit.
There are 2-3K US troops in Syria. That's a pretty small footprint; about half of what is on the Mexico border right now fighting a largely imaginary enemy. That footprint still had critical work to do to get ISIS to 0% effectiveness and ensure that locals are fully ready to handle their security. Military lraders on the ground are saying it was working and now was not yet the time to bail. Now that we prematurely ejected, we can be sure that ISIS will come roaring back - and Russia and Iran will step in to capitalize on the void and ratchet up threat tp Israel.

You realize the Syrian government doesn't want them there?

I am a conservative, but think we should withdraw our military presence in most areas of the world, with the exception of strategic bases in the four theaters of operation that do make sense for the security of the US, not the world in general.
It is shameful to waste US lives and treasure on every conflict in the world, as there will always be conflict and one nation cannot eliminate it.
No more foreign wars! That is why the CIA Swamp must be drained. They have started these wars over the decades. Check their Swiss bank accounts for massive deposits from the Military Industrial Complex
