In real life what would happen is ordinary people would be forced into carbon austerity while the rich could just plant trees on their million acre estates or buy carbon credits. Reminiscent of Orwell's Animal Farm where elite pigs get to keep the cow's milk while the other animals live on meager rations.
AOC has an agenda that is embraced by the new generation that believes in science, and a freshman congresswoman does not have the clout to enact it. No longer are we going to sit back and be lorded over by 80 year old white men who reject science, their days are numbered.
Yes, a New Green Deal is coming. You've had a good run, but it's time to stop destroying the planet, we're almost out of time.
Not belief in science, but belief in politicians of their stripe.
What we have now isn't part of my "run", so you can stop with that false characterization right now. Its actually your run and its a proven failure. The best way to destroy resources is to let politicians and bureaucrats manage them i.e. people with no ownership, no investment and no skin in the game.

'New Green Deal' = New Green Hoax -- Dems promoting a fraud-work quilt promising a cure for all
Here’s a scoop for you: The so-called “Green New Deal,” onto which 70 leading Democrats have signed, doesn’t exist. Like a salesman parked at a corner hawking a small bottle filled with a mystery substance that will cure everything from insomnia to cancer, the Democratic Party is promoting a fraud-work quilt promising a cure for all.
Of course they don’t really think we can end all fossil fuels and build rail lines across oceans to end air travel. They just want to end the United States as we know it, and ruin all that’s good in the world in the name of “socialism.”
How did this knucklehead become the face of the Democratic Party? And how are actual smart people signing onto this idiocy?
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., unveiled her much-touted “Green New Deal†on Thursday -- a package of far-reaching, big-government proposals like health care for all, federal job guarantees and a push to eliminate U.S. carbon emissions -- but it’s already receiving shade from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
“It will be one of several or maybe many suggestions that we receive,†Pelosi told Politico on Wednesday. “The green dream or whatever they call it, nobody knows what it is, but they’re for it right?â€

This is the SCARIEST part of this. That there are some that actually will..... I will say however; that reading the comments here and across the net this afternoon has created some of the best laughter I've had in a while. The response to AOC and her "deal" has better comedy than anything in a long time....
See......this is why Democrats are struggling. Their policies are totally unrealistic. Basically crap policies most Americans don’t approve of.
How does she/ Democrats plan to pay for this (estimated over 40 trillion over the next several years) ? Overtaxing the rich? Lmao haha haha
Robbing from the rich and middle-class is more like it.
