He wouldn't dare do another shutdown after this recess. Somebody will literally come after him if he attempted.

We've seen this story already.
You realize that the Dems didn't have a majority in the House during the Kavanaugh confirmation. Right?

Um, several people right here on c-d think Trump gave in because of the SOTU.

I don't doubt that it was a factor, but in IMO, the main reasons are the dangers of Republican dissension in Congress, and Trump's popularity drop. Those reasons will persist long after the SOTU has been delivered.

Yep. I think Trump played the democrats like a fiddle, lol! Think about it, if the left doesn't negotiate and Trump invokes the Emergency order, everything he offered is off the table and he gets at least $7 billion for the wall. No DACA relief, no amnesty, no nothing. Pelosi and Schumer are idiots.

I'll tell you what, when Pelosi and the rest of them asking for this release their returns then I'll agree.

If it was all a slam dunk it would have already be done years ago.
If you are having an emergency, do you wait 2 years and say that whatever the "emergency" is is actually working as it's supposed to?

Maybe you have a different definition of emergency than most people do.

Breitbart is especially amusing. Calling out the cave on front page but also calling out the "fake news media" for gloating about it. Self referential?
