Personally, I think it is wonderful that every bank, mortgage company, credit card outfit, student loan business, internet provider, ... is willing to forgo payments and penalties until Trump, the Republicans, and the Russians decide to open up our government once more.

Great to see so many patriotic operations.

Its beginning. The "next phase" of the Trump shutdown and its major impact on Americans, both Republicans and Democrats.

Phase 2 of Trump's shutdown -- food stamp program is screeching to a hault. Over 2,500 grocery retailers can no longer accept SNAP cards.

Children will now be going hungry. Kids.

WHY do they not do it the right way, because they can JUST WALK IN that is way. Just like someone going to your backroom which you leave wide open and then starts eating your food, sleeping in your bed and then doing whatever they want in your house. I guess as an American I kinda view this country as MY country, my house and not just a open policy of anyone comes here has a right to my house. Maybe if they werent busy sneaking in and living off the resources of American tax payers we could consider a few thousand here and there but when its millions now its out of control. While those who REALLY come here legally I respect, they protected as an American and really respect Right and Wrong and our laws.

The moral code of Democrats is votes and the illusion your helping the poor but most of these so called poor are just FREELOADERS and some of them ACTUALLY looking for work. The same people who use these same poor and NO Constitutional rights working the fields of the American and cleaning bathrooms with no benefits, no rights but Nancy knows best and the Democrat party who has to many socialist, SJW in the party to get ahead of COMMON SENSE border security.
Illegals come here because GOP business owners hire them by the millions to undercut American workers.

I will tell you this, Criminals in this country love the border just the way it is.
The fact is that you don't have anything to tell me about the border.

I live here within an hour's walking distance and have for decades.

Ripe for human trafficking, drugs and who knows what else. Democrats love it for a voting block of people who want free government welfare and them protecting every last one of them. I'm done accepting illegal immgrantion as POSITIVE results. They are not benefiting america and would rather have 10 million legal Mexicans then 10 million illegals.
Here's a little reality check:

Wealthy powerful individuals and corporations benefit greatly from having millions of sub minimum wage illegals in the workforce to hold down wages and benefits for the US workforce. And that's why it continues.

Illegal immigration = corporate welfare

Time to look for what's really going on instead of what hate radio jocks feed you.

Over 60% of Americans blame Donald Trump for the shutdown. I guess because he said he'd own it and be proud to do it....

A month later, is Donny still proud of the "Trump shutdown?"

Well, not so much.

Now Trump and the minions are trying to blame it on Pelosi.

She isn't having it.

I "blame" it on Trump and I'm for the shutdown until we have actual border security.

So I'm not sure if a poll assigning "blame" to one party or the other means anything. Any objective observer can see who is being unreasonable here, and it isn't Trump.

More Democrats are cracking. Over the weekend, Bennie Thompson (D) did not rule out walls and physical barriers:

Quote:
The Democratic chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee said that he “would not rule out a wall in certain instances” after President Donald Trump proposed a new immigration and border security plan Saturday in an attempt to end the partial government shutdown.

“I don’t think Democrats are opposed to any physical barriers,” Rep. Bennie Thompson of Mississippi said. “It’s just the president constantly evolves his description of the wall, just as he indicated Mexico was going to pay for whatever was there. So what we have to do is sit down, work through this and let the public know exactly what we’re talking about and what they can expect. And we’re not there yet.”

Thompson added that he was a “believer in technology” on the southern border, saying, “Technology is the force multiplier for border security. If we do it right, then we can get — I’m convinced — the kind of border security that we need.”
