Trump's lawyer Giuliani is apparently leaving the door open to the possibility that Trump's Campaign (or at least some people associated with it) colluded with the Russians, but insists Trump himself didn't collude.
Goalposts moved again apparently.
No great surprise there.
"Rudy Giuliani said Wednesday that he never denied President Donald Trump's campaign colluded with the Russian government during the 2016 campaign, only that the President himself was not involved in collusion.
In an interview with CNN's Chris Cuomo on "Cuomo Prime Time," Giuliani, a former New York mayor and Trump's attorney, said he doesn't know if other people in the campaign, including former campaign chairman Paul Manafort, were working with the Kremlin during the 2016 presidential race.
"I never said there was no collusion between the campaign, or people in the campaign," Giuliani said..."
Must be some big stuff coming out in the next couple of days.
When Trump dictated the response for Don Jr. on AF 1, Sr.knew that collusion had occurred. When the phone records come out about the blocked call Jr. made we will hear treason is not a crime from Rudy.
Whether it is Trump involved in hush money payoffs he had been lying about or admitting the "No Collusion!" business was BS, Giuliani makes the rounds and breaks the ice.
I suspect he's going to be busy the next couple months.
Yep, I completely agree with you.
Rudy G knows bad things are ahead for ol' Mushroom Donny, and he's trying his best to kind of get ahead of it and slowly muddy the waters about what Trump did and didn't do, did and didn't know about.
I think most reasonable, fact-based people in this country realize that the Mueller report is probably going to be even worse than we though, it's going to be "devastating" to Trump, Alan Dershowitz's words, not mine.
I find it amusing that these Trumpster's still have enough length left to continue tying themselves in knots. Mueller's report has not come out yet so we don't know what Donny is guilty of if anything. What we do know is Rome is burning around him and these Trumpster's think he has nothing to do with it. When the report is revealed they are gonna dig in even deeper. For now the rats are still staying on the ship. Donny is gonna resign from the presidency and say it is because he was unfairly targeted. The Trumpster's are gonna eat it up like a puppy at the milk bowl.
The Trump story changes once again when more details emerge that dispute what DJT and his associates have been saying. Rudy's words last night basically intimate that the Trump Campaign DID COLLUDE with the Russians. Giuliani and Trump had time and again said that was not the case. Now they are saying it might be a possibility. I guess the recent revelations about Trump Campaign Chairman Paul Manafort sharing propietary campaign polling data with foreigners tied to the Kremlin has made them adapt their narrative again.
I don't know how anyone can watch Giuliani in that exchange and not conclude that he is aware that the Trump campaign colluded with Russia. As far as denials go, all I saw is Giuliani arguing that there is no evidence that Trump personally was aware of the collusion at the time.

Yes, their argument is pretty much the same as it was with Stormy.
1st, it never happened,
2nd, it was exagerrated
3rd, well, I guess maybe it DID happen, but trump did not hand the money over himself, so he is not culpable
4th. Don't believe that guy (Cohen), who I've trusted for many years, and have told you is trustworthy, he's a scoundrel.
It's going to be pretty much the same here.
Trump runs his "business" like a crime boss, which is no coincidence, because that is likely exactly what he is.
