Jussie and everyone close to him, including his employers (Empire), will keep lying/keep up the facade because it's in his and their interest at this point. Until, if, there is ever a conviction, their stories/narrative won't change.
If he is charged, he needs a defense, and the defense will probably be him sticking to his story and accusing the Chicago police of lying, being racist, etc., the two guys he knows are lying, everyone but him will be lying. Typical defense, deny it all and let the prosecution/police prove it.

Yep. And if the leaks and the unnamed sources are accurate, they HAVE the proof.

His family...lol. Being that he comes from a family of actors and activists as well, I'm sure they are used to lying and the apple didn't fall far from that tree.

They probably do have enough on him. But what concerns me is that Jussie is famous and wealthy (idk how wealthy, but presumably wealthier than the average person), and like many other famous and wealthy people, he can probably hire goods lawyers and probably has more of a shot getting off than any normal person would in this situation.
If this does make it to a trial, I hope the jury is carefully selected. I would not be surprised if jury nullification were to happen in a case like this, an alleged hate crime based on racism and homophobia claims. The prosecution would really have to ensure best they could that no one on the jury is biased when it comes to claims of racism, or any question as to the Chicago police's integrity or abilities.
I would really hate to see Jussie get away with what it seems he did. Not only do his actions cause true victims to be questioned, but he created a lot of political and even racial divide. Not cool at all.
