I never understood how saving the enviroment was a liberal cause, just seems way too contradictory and plus enviromental issues are the easiest to exploit for profit

I used to think that rural areas were in fact better for the enviroment, but where the hell do you think most of that fertilizer comes from? Also, not to mention well water has a lot of cancer and Parkinson's-causing chemicals

The only place in environmental issues that I can think off where both the right and the left have common ground would be taxing the poor to death, especially the left

I think they’re more likely to use it as a reason to increase state power.

Liberals (and conservatives) only care about the environment as far as it affects them personally.

Everybody wants clean air to breathe, clean water to drink, beautiful surroundings and things like that.

However, hardly anybody is drastically changing the way they live just for the sake of protecting the environment. That is not going to happen.

I think most people care about the environment.

I also think most people set the bar to their liking.

There are some hippy dippy types that have a genuine love for Mother Gaia, but there are many more who marginally care about the environment but mostly see it as a vessel for forcing their pre-existing social and economic agenda through the back door.

I mean even I used to think suburban areas were probably the best out of all 3 for the environment, but even that's becoming less true as more suburban areas and small towns become infested with businesses and transportation services. In other words, they're trying to urbanize them
