Let the younger generation destroy what's left. Let them. I don't care since they are the ones that will have to live in the misery they created. They are the ones that will have to live amongst an ever growing population of imbeciles and just plain ignorant/dumb people. They will also have to live with the fact that their money supply will increasingly get smaller as more and more people become poorer and the population grows because the dumb and poor will be reproducing takers like mad. They are creating a perpetual vacuum that is going to ultimately suck them right into their graves while they cheer it along because their "educators" were too stupid to realize what they are even teaching them and that includes their very own dumb parents as well. I'll just sit back and laugh year after year and laugh harder and harder the worse it gets. I'm actually looking forward to the entertainment.
Ok, let's think this thing thru. If you are comfortable with the notion of socialism, you also have to accept what it will do to your/our lifestyle. We don't have to go back far into history to see socialism and communism in action. If you want a good reference point, you'd want to be thinking along the lines of say an average family in Russia before the end of the cold war in 1991. What was their lifestyle like? Will anything be different?
The next thing you need to do is take an inventory of the "givers vs. the takers." What percentage of the total population are the "takers" meaning they will take more than they give into the system. USA has a lot of takers. Takers are the boat anchor to socialism/communism....but you can't ignore them!
Next is to realize that in order to prop all the "takers" up to your equilibrium, it will cause all the "givers" to take a massive lifestyle reduction.
Right now, I'd say on a scale of 1-10, America for the most part lives at a level of 8-9 across the board. In a true socialistic or communist society, you better expect to be living at a level 5 or 6. Let me repeat that...EVERYBODY lives at a level 6.
Therein lies the rub. Most Democrats want their cake and eat it too. They like the concept of socialism and communism but once the rubber hits the road, few are willing to make the sacrifice (and it's a huge sacrifice) to implement and perpetuate the system. Additionally, don't even think about using OPM to fund the shortage. That's not how the system works. This is shared risk and must run on internal funds available. You can't shift the amount needed to fund the "takers" onto the deficit....
Most Americans don't want to live like your average Russian household pre Cold War. We are looking at food rationing, maybe one car if you are lucky, perhaps one cell phone if you are lucky, available medical insurance for emergencies only. Vacations? Forget out it. Savings and 401K? Nope! Eating out at restaurants? I think not. Sounds like a dream to me!!!!! Wrong.
This is why I think Democrats are all idealistic. They like these ideas but don't think them thru....at all.
Go back and visit that average Russian family ask which system they prefer? Post Cold War or pre Cold War? What do you the answer will be?

Exactly what I was referring to. They are too stupid to know how this is going to hurt them and their families forever because more and more takers vs. makers are going to be born and I'm just going to laugh and laugh and laugh.
If Americans understood how much easier life is in most other Western countries, they'd be marching on Washington.
Millennials are a well educated and well traveled bunch, generally speaking. Unlike their parents, they're aware that working class people in the U.S. are getting a raw deal compared to other Western countries.
It'll take time. The baby-boomers will have to die off from old age before we see real change. But change is coming.

Invest in pitchforks
define easier. After that define what is a more fulfilling life.
Because it's always easier to bring a person up to a C average while bringing down a A average to a C instead of bringing all to a A average. Case in point for that is a massive minimum wage hike.

The true rich:
A keep redefining what is needed for Joe Average to get "B" pay higher
Buy congress to enact laws that assure them an ever larger share.
Buy congress to redefine what they need to do ever lower.
Buy congress to eliminate competition
Buy congress to make sure the parasite class is taxed the same as the venture capitalist class.
Buy congress to assure no laws lower their ability to buy congress.
Whats scary is the Republican have no clue about this..
Todays youth see that the US is a far right experiment. All other western nations has a much better work/balance life, with larger safety nets and have not seen their wages stagnate for 40+ years.
Its the move to the right that has created this mess!
Today’s youth as you call it is a product of liberal teachers in liberal schools brainwashing them with the leftist agenda. Their inexperience with life is the perfect storm to indoctrinate these kids. And that’s exactly what they’re doing.
