The Dems are so fast to criticize Trump that he wants to take America back in a time machine to the 1950's. Trump is promoting the can do attitude and industrial boom of the 50's while the Dems tell us he wants to reverse social and civil Rights.

Meanwhile oScario Cortez comes out with this plan to return America to the 1800's and the Dems are applauding her?

The problem with Cortez and Obama for that mention is that they have been watching too many Star Trek reruns. Power is delivered from dylithium crystals, if you are sick you go see Bones in sick bay for free, if you are hungry a machine makes whatever you want, there is diversity everywhere and people work for the enjoyment of it and are free to explore their talents and interests. What a utopia!

Politics is weird.

My personal area of interest, agriculture, is completely misunderstood at a basic level, also. The writers of this deal obviously had no idea how to even contact an environmental academic to learn about the net gain of carbon sequestration by cows and other grazing ungulates ( hooves herbivores, like deer).

Or this was a lazily written proposal.
I'm involved in the HVAC industry and we deal a lot with 'Green Buildings' and understand LEED requirements. There is lot of the engineering and design that goes into what makes a building more green and energy efficient and it's not a simple one size fits all approach here.

She's talking about retrofitting every building in America and that alone just wouldn't be economically viable or feasible.

Does anyone who comes up with this stuff do some basic research and check with engineers before running their mouths off, it makes them look like damn fools.

That was funny.

Unfortunately the nutcases behind it are in congress.

If people in the early 20th century had the same mindset as today's conservatives, we would have never moved past the horse and buggy. After all, the horse and buggy had been the primary mode of transportation for so many years there wasn't any need for anything different. In fact merely suggesting that people have the option of something different is downright anti-American and should NOT be tolerated!!!
