A MISTAKE is one level of wrongdoing
What Trump/Cohen and others like John Edwards have done is more than a mistake
It is not just an almost accidental omission or miscalculation or untimely acknowledgement
What those guys did was a deliberate attempt to subvert the laws—
That is way more than a mistake
Just as I said about Jussie Smollett’s self-directed victimization attempt
A mistake is NOT deliberate—
That is a misnomer because people caught are trying to minimize the damage/culpability/blowback of their choice—-deliberate choice—-
They want people to believe it was inadvertent—
None of what Trump did was—not labeling the payoff money to the two women accurately and timely was not a mistake—it was a strategy to minimize damage to Trump during the campaign—-
And it was also standard operating practice for Trump over the years—
This was NOT NEW behavior—
That’s why it can’t simply be “a mistake”—-
Just like the lies to cover up granting Jared Kushner a security clearance NOT authorized by rules/policies others are required to follow and be judged by...thwarting and ignoring all the voices of knowledgeable authorities pointing out Kushner was not qualified or deserving of that security ranking...

How many of you would allow your children to get away with ignoring YOUR rules?

Or colleges to not apply admission policies equitably?
In all honesty no one wants to see people get away with taking advantage of special privilege—
Yet this president does it all the time—in full view at times and in secrecy at others—and then lies about that!
Trump supporters—if you want any kind of credibility about supporting this man, you have got to stop with the blind acceptance of his wrong doing...especially the acts that you wouldn’t accept if your child, your spouse, or anyone else in your personal circle did similar acts, told similar lies, behaved like rules are for other people...

So I would like to see Hannity testify under oath regarding his claim. Surely Hannity can't be mistaken about the dozen of times Cohen claimed that Cohen on his own initiative got a line of credit to pay off a porn star.
Spending one's money on a mistress is not a crime.
it wouldn't have been if trump had paid daniels and mcdougal directly from his personal account ( and he'd reported it). but..... he didn't, and instead contributed to violating multiple campaign finance laws at a felony level.

both cohen and pecker's hush-money payments equate to campaign donations exceeding limits at a felony level ( as well as the fact that it was unreported and measures were taken to conceal these payments). trump's knowledge and participation link him to those felonies thru conspiracy.
Exactly! Democrats are more appalled by paying off a mistress who participated in a consensual relationship (Trump) than the payoff to a sexual assault victim to drop her lawsuit (Clinton).
We already have Guiliani, on camera, stating Trump paid for it with his own money.
We already have Trump, ON TAPE, discussing the payment, with Cohen.
We have proof that Trump reimbursed Cohen for the payments.
