Interesting debate!

If you buy a seat that should make you have the comfort of the usage of that seat.

Someone who doesn’t fit one seat should buy another seat or risk to be removed if no other seats are available.

In a time that airlines make seats smaller and less leg space, we all know how uncomfortable flying can be. If 1/3 or half of that small seat is taken up by someone else’s fat rolls that would be disgusting to me. I once had someone smelling so bad from garlic and mixture of drinking alcohol, sitting next to me on a 8 hour flight. I pledged that if that would ever happen again I will speak up as it made not only me nauseous but others were making remarks too.

Charging the man was creative. How much he got paid, may be argued but it seems that both men, made a deal that made each happy and willing to make the situation work. Isn’t that the best outcome!

It was a business transaction between 2 adults. It’s not anyone else’s business. The airline could have made the man take a later flight and buy a second seat, but they chose not to as long as the other passenger didnt object. I dont have a problem with this
