People who are dubbed management, administrative, and professional can be required to work unpaid overtime who make more than 23,660 a year. A flaw in the Fair Labor Standards Act is that it never considered inflation when establishing who might be eligible for overtime.

Unpaid overtime is a scam. People work unpaid overtime because they are afraid that they will lose their jobs.

The Democrats should pass this so that they can show everyone who owns the republican party.

The left is too fixated on their obsession with identity politics to care about the average American middle class worker.

You have nobody to blame but yourself if you agree to work overtime unpaid. I couldn't imagine willingly working for someone who would make such an absurd demand. Stand up for yourselves people!

Don't have that problem on my job. Overtime have always been plentiful and pays, and lots of people are always putting their name on the overtime list in the breakroom. The job pays well already plus the overtime, and you looking at an extra nice payday. We usually get a pay raise every year, and it's always been this way for the last 20 years.

The democrats have never cared about the middle class. If they do anything it will be to tax them and pay for their policy scams.

How can you say they never cared? Who the republicans care for, the super rich people.

Trump just shafted working Americans with a new overtime rule that is substantially less generous than the one that Obama had in place. MAGA (for the rich).

The democrats are sadly controlled by republican lights who are deep in the pockets of the billionaire class. The main function of corporate democrats is to be an alternative to the republicans while still being controlled by the same big donors who control the republican party. It prevents the population from seeking solutions outside the corrupt candidates who are bankrolled by the ruling class.

They were always talking about how they were for the poor just as the Repubs were for the rich.

The middle class has never been represented at all before Trump came along and represented them on trade. You could add Burnie to that also since both had similar trade ideas.

Trump said there would be a big beautiful tax cut for the middle class before the midterms. He seemed unaware at the time that Congress was not in session. No one else seemed to know anything about it.

Best I can tell, Trump dropped the topic.
