Why are we suggesting politicians give us raises? Why not ask your employer?
Congress can adjust taxes and run it through the POTUS. But asking Congress to get you a raise is not realism, thats not how capitalism works.
And working overtime for nothing is unhealthy and not right, but it happens.
The Corporations and Banks in bed with the government to only work for them is not how capitalism works either.
The strong serve as the defenders, producers, life savers, and other critical roles in our nation. They aren't stomping on anyone. They are making your modern life comfortable, convenient, efficient and worth living.
No one in this country is a slave. If you think you are, you are 100% wrong and need to get your life and mind straightened up. The government can't and won't do this for you. No matter what, weak individuals will be preyed upon if they refuse to learn how to stand up for themselves. And with democrats in charge, the only thing that happens is the strong are held down by the weaklings. That is not what America is about.
As far as doing things on "the group level", that what communism is about, and that will never work in America, so don't even think about it. This nation is all about building people up to be strong individuals, capable of caring for themselves and their nation.
They were always talking about how they were for the poor just as the Repubs were for the rich.
The middle class has never been represented at all before Trump came along and represented them on trade. You could add Burnie to that also since both had similar trade ideas.
I really agree that the middle class has been left out of the primary concerns of both sides, but your contention that Trump is for the middle class is not borne out by his actions. He has tightened up on overtime, and he has really sailed the farmers down the river. They are having a terrible time, due to his policies. He TALKS about favoring the middle class, but he is actually scornful of them. He favors his own class.
Don't have that problem on my job. Overtime have always been plentiful and pays, and lots of people are always putting their name on the overtime list in the breakroom. The job pays well already plus the overtime, and you looking at an extra nice payday. We usually get a pay raise every year, and it's always been this way for the last 20 years.
I feel the same way about my job, for the amount of work I do, I think the pay is pretty darn good.
Its the minimum wage cashiers and entry level people that need raises in my company, I do not have to rely on Govt assistance to meet all my bills, and still have some spending money leftover, more would always be nice, but most of these minimum wage employees can barely pay the basic bills they have, rent, utilities, food, vehicle.
