I don't ever claim anything of the sort. Cut Medicare and everything else.

Why would I feel better paying $8000 more in taxes only to see Trump throw it out the window, while giving me less and less in return for my money?

America is the only one if the wealthiest 49 democracies in the world where a significant portion 9f people feel this way. There is not even a major political party in the other 48 that does not back universal health care. Something is deeply wrong with our culture on this.

You are supposed to go by past Supreme Court rulings on authorization of Medicare.

Note to self, get a job, stay employed, become self sufficient, save for retirement so I don't need to be on the Govt teat when I get older. Got it, thanks OP.

There are plenty of other cuts we could make that would go much further. A 10% cut in the military budget? Absolutely cut our world cop budget. Meaning instead of having a US carrier battle group patrolling the Med to keep Israel safe, maybe let those in that region patrol their own seas. We could absolutely afford to cut 10% of our foreign bases.
10% cut in the EPA, Dept of Energy, Federal employees, Merge the ATF, FBI, DEA, Secrete Service and cut out the redundancy. I can go on and on with things we can cut that would deliver far more than a 10% screwing of our senior citizens.

We have a culture that glorifies selfishness and screwing others over. I would argue most of this country's problems stem from that, from the health care issue to poverty, homelessness, drugs, our high crime rates, etc.

” It’s impossible to apportion how much of that is Medicaid because we don’t know how states will spend their new grant," Goldwein said. "But I think it’s somewhat misleading to suggest Medicaid is being cut by $1.4 trillion when a large chunk of that money is really being reprioritized rather than eliminated."

The proposed Medicare savings would have meant little to no change for beneficiaries, according to Paul Van de Water, a senior fellow at the left-leaning Center on Budget Policy and Priorities, a Washington, D.C., think tank.

Trump’s budget would have reduced reimbursement rates for services, lowering the overall cost. The lower rates would not have changed the care received by people on Medicare, he said. Rather, it would force providers to charge the government less for services.

"The Medicare cuts were for the most part reductions to payments to providers, and that latter category is something members of Congress from both parties have been working on for decades," Van de Water said. "The reason the U.S. spends more on health care is that we end up paying much more to providers than other countries."

Pay attention here .... no cuts to care or service to Seniors.
Cuts are to corporations... you know, those filthy Rich that Leftists complain about.
This is mostly about lowering Drug costs- I’m now getting Prescription coverage and other services I didn’t get last year. Trump is focused on lowering costs, not reducing service or care. Don't get suckered in an Echo Chamber.

Reality is that the Leftists done want to “cut Medicare” - they want to end it and replace with an unknown Pie in the Sky new program. Medicare is on life support now, imagine what the Leftists will do when they take it away and go to a new unproven system.

Haven’t we already done that with the failed ObamaCare?
I can't help noticing you didn't bother to link to the Politifact post you claim supports the lie that Trump isn't proposing cutting Medicare. I'm not sure if that was a deliberate misrepresentation on your part or if you were actually unaware that the post is from May 2018 and has nothing to do with the budget that Trump just proposed.

Meanwhile back here in 2019

The budget released by the White House on Monday also calls for a sizable reduction for Medicare, the federal insurance for older Americans that President Trump has consistently promised to protect.
