Dems said Visa overstays are a big problem. Trump cracking down on Visa overstays now. Will Dems support it ?

Of course the Dems will back Trump on this issue b/c they recognized it as a huuuuge problem.

How could anyone disagree with Trump on this issue ? It in keeping with "MAGA" !!!

It should be part of a comprehensive immigration mandate.

I hope the Dems work with the Republicans in office.

All Trump did was send a memo -- with no suggestions -- that it should be looked at.

WOW -- that was amazing......big day for Trumpers....look at him lead.

Welcome to the GOP where leadership from the front is found, finally.

It can be done quicker as a stand alone solution. They have working towards comprehensive immigration for decades and no reason to put it in that empty bin. Unless someone wants it to gather dust and never get action.

Back him on WHAT? He has no plan, merely directed his administration to look into it. Or is Mr. Know-It-All now seeking the Dems' guidance on what he directs his administration to do?

Is that the way to green light Trump's action that many Dems have been saying is the bigger problem ?

This has been a democrat talking point for a long time. They have been saying visa overstays are a bigger problem than what is coming over the southern border. Visa overstay is a crime too.

Who cares? Big-business wants immigration. Trump can put on a show, and maybe even claim a small victory, but he can't stop the flood, nor does he even want to.

So tell me, OP. What else is Trump doing to fulfill his so called promises? How has he addressed the opioid crisis? What happened to our Obamacare replacement? The one Republicans promised us? You know, healthcare is a priority for most. How about those infrastructure improvements? Or is everything about Trump's obsession with the bad brown people? And before you hit us with the low employment rate as something he supposedly did for us, Trump didn't hire millions of Americans, so that wasn't an accomplishment of his.

Trump is like all presidents where there is a issue and all that gets done is a report or they start a commission to look into too it. Example, Obama appointed a commission that was lead by Simpson {R} and Bowles {D} to come up with plans to reduce the deficit. The leaders read it and ran from it like they were being chased by a pit bull. What happened to Simpson/Bowles is the exact same thing that will occur when Pompeo releases his report, nothing it will collect dust.

I agree with the left on this one it is a big nothing burger and the seal clapping over this is pathetic.

In a presidential memorandum, Trump ordered the State Department to work with governments of countries with total overstay rates of more than 10 percent in order to reduce the number.

Are they suppose to send authorities in to find their citizens and take them back?
