I gotta wonder how they would have reacted if the workmen setting up and installing everything at their store or the deliverymen bringing them goods were to charge them 18% more for NOT being men?

Lol, who knows? Back when I was in the trades (HVAC), I certianly had a sliding "pain in the butt" scale for charging obvious obnoxious people. Billed myself right out of some work, and it was worth every penny to me.
This cafe reminds me of the feminist bookstore on the Portlandia show I used to watch, "Women and Women First", filmed out of an actual feminist bookstore run by radical pan african socialists idiots.
They didnt like Portlandia wasnt running with their entire rad-transgender-black separatist-communist thing, so they squealed about needing more public money of course.
A miserable failed concept by a bunch of miserable people. Good riddance. I hope this was a great learning experience that business don't go far when descriminating.
That's great! This is a perfect example of how the free market naturally regulates bad businesses by putting them out of business. I guarantee the exact same thing would happen to any business that decided to add a "Woman Tax", "Asian Tax", "Black Tax", "Jewish Tax", "Muslim Tax", "Gay Tax", etc.
The free market essentially allows people to be free to choose whether they will support bigotry, hatred, bad products, bad service, etc., and most of the time people with sense choose to not support this kind of stupidity and hatred.
But then again, that's just MY opinion, for what it's worth.
