Unless, of course, he is lying. I think, in general, when anyone associated with Trump opens their mouth...they are lying. But that is me.

Still, Little Boy said that. Recently.

I have little doubt that more pot sellers tend to vote Democratic. I also have little doubt that people like Jeff Sessions love to make "felons" out of pot sellers and growers.

This is the old "conservative" trick. They don't want people to vote.

For whatever, reason, a recent ballot measure restoring felon voting right in Florida passed by a LARGE majority - 65% - which changed the Florida Constitution. As we speak the GOP Government is meeting trying to roll it back...so it must be that they lean the "wrong" way.

Jim Crow rides again in Florida. Even with a super-majority and constitutional change, they won't accept it. What they are trying to do is delay it for ONE more election because Florida could easily be won or lost by a few votes.

Shame on them. Even when the Constitution is changed, they go against the will of the people....
felons who have served their time and have been released are totally different. We are talking about those in prison or maybe you haven't been paying attention!!!

I actually followed the link and read the study. I don't care what gender you are, you've misrepresented the Washington Times, which in turn misrepresented the original study.

Just because they register (D) which is what the cited article says doesn't mean they're not gonna get out of prison and fall for some BSing con-man like Trump and vote the other way. Many ex-cons likely stand in awe of Trump's defiance of the law.

The article states they’re registered Democrats but the last thing they’re worried about is voting, lol. Most typically are committing the same crime after release, ending right back in prison.

What I am certain with is this....In my neck of the woods there is a state prison that the prisoners out number the residents of the town...what would happen if the prisoner got to vote and put up a inmate to run for mayor and/or the city council etc. And won all the city seats because of the larger numbers behind bars than in the city?
Do democrats, including Sanders, really want that or allowing the Boston bomber to vote?

This type of BS reminds me of Michael Dukakis and the Willie Horton affair that probably led to Dukakis defeat to Bush in 1988. I would suggest Sanders and other democrats who support felons in prison voting... revisit history before they open their pie holes.

Well, personally, I'm not bothered by it at all. It's not affecting me. I'm more concerned with what affects me personally.

Can't win...... change the rules

I mean, who better to vote for the party that wants to give away free stuff by stealing from the productive members of society than criminals, right?

Seems to be the Democrat strategy these days.

Wait, which side has the basket of deplorables?

The murderers, the rapists, the pedophiles? They are Democratic voters.

So, what are the democrats doing to attract these voters? I think their candidates must be pandering to the pedophiles for their vote. Sending out dog whistles, and not condemning them quickly enough or strongly enough.

It's not new.

ndividuals convicted of a felony are ineligible to vote while in prison, on parole, or on probation. Voting rights are automatically restored two years after the completion of all supervised release (except if convicted of treason). Ex-offenders should re-register to vote.
Voting as an Ex-Offender - Nonprofit Vote

Most of us already know this. But it's nice that proof of it comes out, much like how the previous administration utilized various government entities to try and bring down republicans (IRS, DOJ, SOS, FBI, etc.). Nice that all the proof came out of it, even though most of us already knew it.

And did you know that the new mayor of San Francisco has a brother who is in prison doing time for murder? And one of the first things the new San Francisco Mayor did when taking office was try and get her brother out of prison early. Amazing how corrupt these Dems are. Blatant corruption! Of course. If he can't get out early, at least allow him to vote for their party.

The Dems Know that a bunch of them will probably end up in jail once the IG and AG finish digging into their antics. Their hedging their bet so these folks will still be able to vote Dem in 2020.
