It might be. PC and all. I remember the backlash those pageant girls got. If they don't want to do it and the parent is pushing it I don't think that's alright, but if they really like it I don't see a problem as long as they make sure it's not harmful.
If the pageant were held at 3am in a bar full of only drunk men who threw dollar bills at the little girls they liked the best ... is that harmful or harmless?
Imagine that with drunk men howling and throwing money at the little girls. Approve? Easy answer.
So you are okay with little girls getting sexed up and dancing provocatively, but not this little boy. As long as the men who are leering at these little girls are in an audience instead of a bar, it's fine with you.
The parents let him hang out with a murderer, so I have severe doubts as to their concerns for his safety.
His mother was there for the interview. She didn't drop him off and come back the next day to pick him up. They weren't "hanging out" Desmond was there for an interview. In fact they point out his mother during that interview.

umm.....
The guy smashed somebody's head in with a hammer
Shot the guy up with Drano to make sure he was dead
Left the body in the bathtub for a week
Then cut the body up into pieces
Called a taxi and loaded it up
Taxi took him to the river where he dumped all the body parts
But I guess since his mom was there it was OK, is that the logic?

Do people even hear themselves?????????????
Michael Alig. Google it. It's 100% true.
And the government must have thought he was safe enough to be out in public, or he would not have gotten out on parole.
Would I take my kids for an interview with him? No. But it is not as claimed that Desmond was just "hanging out" with Alig, he was doing an interview with parental supervision.

You are splitting hairs. No parents who care about their kids would ever let them near that man. Ever.
Unless it's good for career ... and get tips on how to be a club kid ... publicity at all costs. Right? If it's to promote TG and TG careerr it's always acceptable.
If that had been a pageant giril, screams of Jon Benet!!!!! would have been heard in the hills.
PS. Last time I checked? Neither parents has a job.

All but one of them are already adults, so you would be wrong.
