Why was my post removed for “off topic”?
I merely said anti semitism may be on the rise because people realize the disproportionate number of Jews (only 2% of our population) in positions of wealth, power, and influence in this country. The statistics are readily available on all of this.
It’s interesting that a post pointing these numbers out is immediately pulled. Looks like 1984 CD style. Guess my facts got in the way of the leftist moderators narrative.
As a Jew, it concerns me greatly than I am living in the most anti-Semitic time of my life - and the anti-Jewish sentiment continues to increase, particularly in Europe. The first step in reducing the bigotry is for people to be willing to admit where it comes from, in part at least, despite the fact that liberals refuse to blame Muslims to any degree whatsoever and in fact rush to their defense. I am opening this thread to negate the liberals' accusations that Jews who point out anti-Semitism among Muslims are "fear-mongering" or, also common, playing the "Jewish victim card."
We cannot reverse the uptrend in European antisemitism unless we acknowledge all its sources, and the hard truth is that the mass influx in Muslim migrants is directly correlated with an increase in antisemitism. The linked article, published today, provides some interesting points, three of which are:
1. The Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs reported that nearly 90 percent of European Jews have experienced some degree of an anti-Semitic threat, with 30 percent saying it was from a Muslim extremist, 20 percent from a left-winger, and 13 percent from a right-winger.
2. Muslims comprise less than 6 percent of the German population and make up between 30 and 50 percent of anti-Semitic hate crimes.
3. While liberals would have us believe that right-wing politics is responsible for the rise in European anti-Semitism, Jews feel safer in countries with low numbers of Muslims like Hungary, Poland, and Romania than they do in Germany and France.

You think that people claiming this is a NEW thing?
People have claimed this for ages, so why would it all of a sudden cause a rise in antisemitism?
Is it problematic that people are “over represented” or “under represented”? Sounds a lot like someone is advocating for affirmative action to me. People do the jobs they want to do. If someone is smart enough, and has the desire to gain wealth, they gain wealth. If they are not, they don't. We are not a communist/socialist country, where everything has to be divided equally. Do we need more white people and Asians in the NBA?

Systematic, rampant inequality is always a bad omen.
When one small group is too influential, it can indeed become a problem. The NBA is irrelevant because whatever goes on there has no consequences.

Why is it a problem? What is the solution in your mind? To discriminate against people in that small group to diminish it’s influence? Give up on the idea of a meritocracy? Redistribution of wealth?

Meritocracy is more of a myth, anyway. Read an interesting article on British society recently, where it said that minorities outperform whites by now (higher rate of college degree etc.), but it doesn't translate into corresponding socioeconomic status because of racism, connections, certain structures enshrined in society, etc.
If the differences are too striking, there definitely is something wrong, and naturally it needs to be addressed and fixed, without any political correctness.
And yes, if necessary, redistribution is one means, although of course it only starts when the damage (rampant inequality) is already done.

So should we tell Jews to drop out of high school and go on welfare? Or at the very least, forgo college and struggle by on working class wages their whole life? Would you be happier if Jews made poorer decisions, didn't sacrifice for higher education, and generally were less successful?
Are leftists really so resentful of successful people? Reminds me of my first job out of college.....a few mediocre employees actually told me to stop doing such a good job because it made them look bad. (I also happened to be only 1 of 2 Jews out of the 350 who worked for the bank. So much for Jews owning the banks!)

Jesus H. Christ, people: It's the Muslims. Just ****ing say it and accept it. 20 pages to hash out what we already know.
This is the new normal. Welcome to "diversity."
Anti-semitism is rising in Europe because there's more Muslims now. And it's not getting any better, so just deal with it. That fight has been going on for 1400 years. Ever since Hitler wrote, "Kill the Jew behind the tree" ...oh wait. I forgot. That was Mohammed.

No, my idea is not reducing one side, but increasing the other.
